Science Support legislation and grant <br />Education programs that increase funding <br />for education on climate -change, <br />eco -systems, and zoology, with <br />the assistance of local zoos. <br />Conservancy Program of the $16 million <br />in Proposition 68 funding for the <br />Program. <br />(PRCSA) The department has the <br />opportunity to apply for competitive <br />grants under Proposition 68. The <br />department is working to identify <br />projects and features that qualify for <br />funding. funding does not allow for <br />deferred maintenance. <br />(TPA) worked with the city's legislative <br />delegation to appropriate $40 million, as <br />part of the State Budget, from the <br />Proposition 68 Cultural, Community and <br />Natural Resources Program. Worked to <br />provide input to the Department of Parks <br />and Recreation relating to the <br />development of guidelines for the <br />program which provides funding for, <br />among other things, science centers in <br />heavily urbanized counties and programs <br />that education the public about natural <br />landscapes, aquatic species, or wildlife. <br />(FRCSA) The Santa Ana zoo developed a <br />20 -year master plan, which includes $70 <br />million additional builds and <br />enhancement of the park. Initiatives in <br />the 20 -year master plan include: <br />a A new veterinary hospital <br />® A series of primate trails soaring <br />over the Zoo for added animal <br />enrichment and an immersive <br />guest experience <br />® The addition of Bean Sprouts, a <br />healthy, organic eatery onsite at <br />the Zoo <br />• A new entry plaza and improved <br />parking <br />• Additional participation in local, <br />65A-38 City of Santa Ana Legislative Scorecard 2018 20 <br />
