Inland Empire Composting Authority, Baghouse Fire Suppression System: This project was an
<br />Agency design/bulld with Baghouse and Industrial Sheet Metal, and included removing rectangular
<br />ducting and replacing with 72" diameter aluminum ducting. Also, the Contractor installed a fire
<br />suppression system and all Instrumentation associated with it for a complete NFPA regulated package
<br />(refer to the attached photos of this project). All of this projects work Is related to the dust collection
<br />system within the 450,000 square foot composting facility managed jointly by LACSD and IEUA. Total
<br />contract value of $940,000. As Construction Manager, Mr. Walker was required to coordinate system
<br />startups, certifications of proper Installation, and loop testing.
<br />Mr. Walker Is currently working on various projects for the Inland Empire Utilities Agency, including
<br />several design projects where he Is actively Involved early In the design phase. He participates in
<br />preliminary design meetings, 50%, 80% & 100% design review meetings, and then final
<br />constructability review just prior to release for bid.
<br />City of San Juan Capistrano Chiquita Water Reclamation Plant -Phase 3: Mr. Walker acted as a
<br />resident engineer and was held responsible for field management duties on a $28 million Wastewater
<br />Plant Expansion project In the City of San Juan Capistrano for the Santa Margarita Water District The
<br />project Included a completely new secondary treatment system (utilizing activated sludge), the
<br />addition of a Tertiary Treatment Process (utilizing sheet filtration and chlorination), new Digesters,
<br />new Primary Sed Tanks, and a new Vortex Grit Chamber. In this capacity, Mr. Walker was
<br />responsible for preparation of plan clarifications, changes in the Contract Work, oversight of three (3)
<br />Inspectors, responding to RFI's, monitorng/processing submittal reviews, and coordinating special
<br />Inspections & materials testing. Mr. Walker administered the contract between the Public Agency,
<br />Design Engineer, and Contractor. (This project received the SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT OF THE
<br />YEAR AWARD from the California Water Environment Association).
<br />City of Huntington Beach Huntington Beach Booster Stations: Mr. Walker was responsible for
<br />day-to-day geld engineering and Inspection duties on a $2.2 million contract for the City of Huntington
<br />Beach, California. In this capacity, Mr. Walker was responsible for preparation of plan revisions,
<br />changes in the Contract Work, administering the contract between the Agency/Design
<br />Engineer/Contractor, coordinating RFI's, and documenting Change Orders. Mr. Walker was the direct
<br />path of communication for all project correspondence including submittals, claims for extra work, and
<br />project clarifications.
<br />City of Costa Mesa Consolidated Water District: Mr. Walker was responsible Involved -with day
<br />today field engineering duties on an $11 million Design/Build contract for the Colored Water
<br />Treatment Facility within the City of Costa Mesa, California. In this capacity, Mr. Walker was
<br />responsible for the review of Contract Documents, submittals, correspondences between project
<br />parties, processing RFI's, preparing preliminary change requests, monthly progress payments, and
<br />daily monitoring of construction activities. He further provided assistance to the project Resident
<br />Engineer and Project Manager during progress meetings and monthly reports.
<br />Various locations within Southern California Ground Water Recharge Project: Mr. Walker acted
<br />as Assistant Resident Engineer, Mr. Walker provided planning and Construction Management
<br />services for a $12 million project for the Water Replenishment District (WRD) of Southern California.
<br />The processes utilized in treating tertiary effluent from the adjacent Long Beach Water Reclamation
<br />Facility included Mlcrofiltration/Reverse Osmosis/Ultraviolet disinfection. Mr. Walker was responsible
<br />for all field engineering Issues and decisions relating to the successful construction of this project. In
<br />addition he has successfully completed: the Chapman AveJGilbert St Sewer Project ($2.3 million),
<br />Buaro StJHarbor Blvd. Sewer Project ($750,000), Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center ($2.5
<br />million), Fairview St.frrask Ave. Sewer & Water Improvement Project ($700,000), and
<br />Brookhurst/Padiament Sewer Project ($1.8 million).
