The successful Proposer/Contractor <br />shall possess and demonstrate they have the necessary expertise, experience and <br />qualifications to provide these types of services. The City wishes to create efficiencies <br />and make improvements wherever possible, and take advantage of new technologies. <br />It is the City's intent to maintain all emergency medical and ambulance transportation <br />billing with one institution to maximize systems and minimize administrative costs. <br />1.5 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: <br />The schedule below is tentative and subject to change at the discretion of City, with <br />appropriate notice to prospective Proposers. <br />• Release of RFP........................................................................ TBD <br />1.6 TERM OF CONTRACT: <br />The intended length of contract period will be three (3) years beginning July 1, 2020 <br />(base period). The contract may be extended two (2) more years upon agreement of <br />both parties (optional period), with a mutual right to terminate upon ninety (90) days <br />written notice. <br />Transition Period: The successful Proposer/Contractor shall facilitate a transition for <br />the City from the current ambulance & paramedic billing and collection service company <br />to the new company within a 6 month period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020.
