Contact patient family members or emergency contacts for information. <br />d. Refer to zip code/ street directories for incomplete/ missing address <br />information. <br />e. Mail inquiries to the patient. <br />17. Contractor must work with County of Orange and perform screening of all <br />medically indigent patients. <br />18. Contractor must comply with all applicable provisions and specifications of the <br />Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as other <br />federal, state, and local statues and regulations addressing patient privacy issues <br />throughout the term of the contract. <br />19. Contractor shall maintain proficiency and comply with all statutory, regulatory, <br />and other legal requirements, including amendments to such requirements, <br />which impact billing, reimbursement and/or collections for EMS and release of <br />private medical information. <br />20. Contractor agrees to cooperate with the City regarding the handling of accounts. <br />These accounts may be included, but are not limited to accounts of the specific <br />age classifications, handicapped, and certain dependent situations. <br />21. Contractor must meet or exceed mutually agreed upon collection targets. <br />22.
