Vacuums, blowers, sweepers, shovels, high-pressure water hose/nozzles or other <br />approved equipment may be used to clean hardscape areas. Debris shall not be <br />blown or swept onto adjacent planters, streets or property. All debris must be <br />thoroughly cleaned and picked up/removed from the site. <br />3.14 The Contractor shall properly and safely pick-up used hypodermic needles and <br />insert them into an approved sharps container, The City shall provide the sharps <br />containers to the Contractor. Once the sharps containers are considered full, the <br />Contractor shall deliver the sharps containers to the City's Central Stores, located <br />in the City Yard. The City's Central Stores will manage the final disposition of the <br />hypodermic needles. <br />3.1.5 During rain storms the Contractor shall continuously check and clear drain inlets to <br />prevent flooding. <br />11.6 Following severe inclement weather, special events or other high -impact events the <br />Contractor shall dispatch extra staff and resources to clean-up park sites within 48 <br />hours <br />3.1.7 The Contractor shall unplugged, clean, sanitized and polish drinking fountains <br />daily. The Contractorshall use approved germicidal cleaners and products to assure <br />that drinking fountains are cleaned and polished. The Contractor shall remove all <br />mineral build-up, algae, stains, etc. using appropriate mechanical or manual means <br />as necessary. Should the drinking fountain be so clogged that dismantling the <br />fountain is required, the Contractor shall notify the Director's Representative who <br />will dispatch City staff to make repairs. <br />3.2 Weekly Service <br />3.2.1 The Contractor shall hire a sub -contractor specializing in roadway/parking lot <br />clearing/sweeping services to perform weekly roadway and parking lot <br />cleaning/swecping services. The sub -contractor shall use a well maintained and <br />operating TYMCO Model 210h Regenerative Air Sweeper or equal to sweep park <br />roadways and parking lots. <br />3,2.2 Cleaning/sweeping services shall take place between the hours of 11:OOpm and <br />S:OOam each week. <br />3.2.3 Cleaning/sweeping services shall compliment the Contractors daily <br />cleaning/blowing services leaving the roadways/parking lots thoroughly clean and <br />free of all debris, including fine materials, regardless of the condition of the <br />pavement. <br />3.3 Monthly Service <br />3.3.1 The Contractor shall service BBQ's one-time per month by using a stiff -bristle wire <br />brush to scrape clean rust and debris from the exterior of BBQ's followed by <br />painting the exterior of BBA's and their pedestal post Rustoleum Flame Resistant <br />Flat Black paint, <br />City of Santa Ana Rf P 19-092 <br />Page 23 <br />
