<br />0 project, The project improvements involve constructing several
<br />stormwater BMPs intended to treat on -site and off -site runoff and reduce
<br />contamination in; Aliso Creek, Limekiln Creek, and the Los Angeles River::
<br />The proposed BM Ps include low flow channel.diversions, stormwater
<br />pump stations, stormwater pre-screening devices, bioswales, vegetated
<br />detention/retention basin,the restoration of upland, riparian habitat, and
<br />BMP Roucationailsignage. The goal of the project is to significantly reduce
<br />the pollutant loads, as well as transform a specifically built flood control
<br />facility into a multi-fu nctiop green infrastructure facility. The project will
<br />also be designed to achieve a Platinum 'Envision Rating,
<br />Albion Riverside Park -,City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering,
<br />Los Angeles, CA. Project Manager responsible for overseeing the pre -
<br />design, design, and construction support services, includingthe Envision
<br />certification process, The project involves transforming a six -acre site,
<br />previously used for dairy warehousing and distribution, into a riverfront
<br />park and recreational facility that will benefit nearby disadvantaged low
<br />income neighborhoods. In addition, the City is using the redeveloped
<br />property to increase the current capacity for managing storm water runoff.
<br />Shell Beach Road Streetscape Phase 1, City of Pismo Beach,
<br />Pismo Beach, CA. Project Manager for the design of a "total street''
<br />reconstruction of 18 blocks of Shell Beach Road. The project entails
<br />Incorporating a now Class l Bikeway along an existing Caltrans right-
<br />of-way (Highway 101). in addition, the project aims to replace aging
<br />utilities, including: a new 12" water line, new 12" reclaimed water
<br />line, undergrounding power and comet, lines, and new storm drain
<br />improvements. The project will incorporate new way -finding and
<br />streetscape enhancements including: pavement enhancements at
<br />crosswalks and intersections, full ADA compliance, street furniture and
<br />landscape improvements (incorporating Low Impact Development
<br />techniques).
<br />Los Angeles Zoo Parking Lot Low Impact Development Project, City of
<br />Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, Los Angeles, CA., Project Director
<br />and Landscape. Architect for this important LID demonstration project.
<br />Mr. Argente was responsible for the redesign and repair of the Los Angeles
<br />Zoo's asphalt concrete parking area, and its replacement with pervious:
<br />pavement. The project included a hydrology model of the watershed so
<br />BMPs were optimized, Additional services provided under his supervision
<br />include landscape architecture, public outreach, permitting support,
<br />interpretive design, costanalysis and value engineering. The project
<br />incorporated the latest design strategies for LID and a cross review of
<br />Leadership In Energy and Environmental (LEED) design requirements,
<br />evaluation. Preliminary design drawings will be prepared to a 30%design
<br />level that addresses the civil site, mechanical, process, electrical and
<br />instrumentation components of the treatment and blending facility, site
<br />work and pipeline plan and profile sheets. Project field work will consist of
<br />a geotechnical investigation of the well sites, treatment plant and pipeline
<br />corridors, aerial and ground survey, potholing and corrosion analysis.
