4.7.2 Missed Pickups <br />When notified of a missed pickup prior to noon, Contractor shall Collect the Refuse, <br />Recyclable Materials, and/or Organic Materials that was not Collected the same day. If <br />notified after noon, Collection must take place no later than the next Collection day <br />(excludes only Sundays and holidays listed in Section 4.7.1 and, for Residential Cart <br />Customers, Saturday). <br />4.7.3 Vehicles <br />A. General. Contractor shall provide Collection vehicles sufficient in <br />number and capacity to efficiently perform the work required by the Agreement in <br />strict accordance with its terms as described in Contractor's Proposal. Any additional <br />vehicles/routes that may be required to meet the service standards during the term of <br />this Agreement, above the number included in Contractor's Proposal shall be done so at <br />Contractor's sole expense. Contractor shall have available on Collection days sufficient <br />back-up vehicles for each type of Collection vehicle used to respond to complaints and <br />emergencies. <br />B. Specifications. All route Collection vehicles will be not older than 2-years <br />and in like -new condition upon initiation of services under this Agreement. Contractor <br />shall operate no vehicles within the City over 10-years in age during the initial ten-year <br />term of this Agreement and no older than 15-years in age during any future extensions <br />of this Agreement. All route Collection vehicles used by Contractor in providing <br />Refuse, Recycling, and Organics Collection services, excluding spares, Roll -off Box <br />Collection vehicles, scout vehicles, supervisor vehicles, Container delivery and other <br />specialty vehicles used on a sporadic basis, shall use exclusively renewable natural gas <br />(RNG). Such vehicles must be registered with the California Department of Motor <br />Vehicles and shall have water -tight bodies designed to prevent leakage, spillage or <br />overflow. At all times during the term of this Agreement, Contractor's Collection <br />vehicles shall comply with Department of Transportation requirements, South Coast <br />Air Quality Management District Requirements and the California Air Resource Board <br />requirements as they are currently in force and as they may be approved for Refuse <br />removal vehicles, as well as other Federal, State and local laws and regulations that may <br />be enacted during the term of this Agreement. <br />March 9, 2020 60 City of Santa Ana - DRAFT <br />60A-149 <br />
