Mr. Abcarius is highly experienced in leading <br />multi -disciplinary design teams on public works projects. <br />Project Experience <br />Bradley Road Bridge Design <br />CITY OFMENIFEE I MENIFEE,CA <br />Project manager responsible for providing preliminary design and construction <br />documents for this project to improve Bradley Road between Rio Vista Drive <br />and Potomac Drive within the City of Menifee. This improvement consists of <br />providing an all-weather crossing at Salt Creek in lieu of the existing two -pipe <br />culvert. Such an improvement is necessary for the surrounding communities <br />that get stranded after a 5-year storm event as the roadway gets completely <br />flooded, and becomes impassable. This is a safety concern to the senior <br />citizen community because emergency vehicles cannot reach them without <br />having to go through a lengthy detour. <br />American Public Works <br />Melrose Drive Extension <br />Association <br />CITY OF OCEANSIDE I OCEANSIDE, CA <br />Project manager for the design of the missing link of Melrose Drive between <br />American Society <br />Spur Avenue, located about one-half mile south of SR-76, and North Santa <br />of Civil Engineers, <br />Fe Avenue, 300 feet north of Willowbrook Drive. This 3,000-foot roadway <br />Transportation Group <br />extension includes the design of a proposed bridge crossing over Guajome <br />AVAILABILITY <br />Lake Road and some wetland habitat. Additionally, Melrose Drive will be <br />30% <br />widened for 1,900 feet between North Santa Fe Avenue and Sagewood Drive. <br />Pala Road Bridge Over Temecula Creek <br />CITY OFTEMECULA I TEMECULA, CA <br />Project manager for the replacement of a structurally deficient and functionally <br />obsolete bridge under the federal Highway Bridge Rehabilitation and <br />Replacement (HBRR) program. Led team of specialists in the disciplines <br />of bridge design, highway design, traffic engineering, hydraulic analysis, <br />geotechnical engineering and environmental mitigation. Conducted bridge <br />type selection, supervised final bridge design and prepared specifications and <br />estimate. Facilitated coordination with a number of interests, including the <br />Pechanga Indian Tribe, which provided input on bridge architectural features. <br />Bellflower Undercrossing— Ramp 16 <br />COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES <br />Project engineer for seismic analysis and retrofit design of a six -span, <br />V 5 408-foot-long reinforced concrete box girder. Retrofit measures included the <br />addition of steel column casings, pile footing enlargements and addition of <br />steel pins at the hinge to provide transverse restraint. <br />
