<br />City of Hermosa Beach On -Call Project and Construction
<br />Management Services, Hermosa Beach, CA: Project Manager for
<br />various state and federally funded capital improvement projects for the
<br />City of Hermosa Beach. Services included consultant selection and
<br />management, complete project management from planning through
<br />construction phase services, bond and grant management, bid and award
<br />services, construction management and inspection, and project close-out.
<br />Capital improvement projects included Pier Renovation Phase III, Aviation
<br />Street Tree Project, Pier Clock Barrier, Pier Concrete Deck Treatment,
<br />Manhattan Avenue Street Improvements, Pier Avenue and North Parking
<br />Structure Restriping, Beach Restroom Rehabilitation, Community Center,
<br />Various Street Improvements, and Police Department HVAC Upgrades.
<br />City of Long Beach, Demolition of the Existing Belmont Pool
<br />Facility, Long Beach, CA: Construction Manager for construction
<br />management services for the demolition of the existing Belmont Pool
<br />facility. Demolition of the facility was in preparation of the new facility.
<br />Demolition activities included salvage of select items from the facility,
<br />removal and disposal of hazardous building materials, protection of
<br />mature growth trees and grass area in the park to the north of the facility,
<br />rough grading and finish grading of building site, and restoration of park
<br />irrigation and landscaping.
<br />Alamitos Avenue Rehabilitation Between 7th Street and Orange
<br />Avenue, Long Beach, CA: Resident Engineer for this $1.3 million
<br />project which was 4,700 feet long and included the repair and
<br />replacement of various existing Portland Cement concrete (PCC)
<br />improvements (sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps, driveways, alley
<br />entrances, cross gutters, other). Construction also included grinding PCC
<br />and asphalt concrete pavement and overlay with AC (2,400 tons) and
<br />asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) (3,000 tons) as well as minor traffic signal
<br />modifications and upgrades and signing and striping.
<br />Orange Avenue Improvements between 52nd, Long Beach, CA:
<br />Construction Manager for this $2.3 million project which was 7,750 feet
<br />long and trimming and root shaving, the removal of 29 trees, repair and
<br />replacement of existing PCC improvements including sidewalks, curb
<br />and gutters, and 70 curb ramps, and the replacement of old signals.
<br />Construction also included grinding PCC and AC pavement and overlay with
<br />AC (3,000 tons) and asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) (5,000 tons) as well as
<br />minor traffic signal modifications and upgrades and signing and striping.
