As a practitioner with four professional credentials, Pat has <br />demonstrated that he has the education, skills, and experience to lead <br />and direct multiple projects and resources to attain strategic business <br />goals of the organization. Prior to joining Psomas, Pat was the Facilities <br />Construction and Rehabilitation Administrator for the City of Irvine with <br />full responsibility of planning, directing, and program administration of the <br />City's Capital Improvement and Rehabilitation Program for six years. Prior <br />to the City of Irvine, he was employed by the City of Long Beach, Public <br />Works Department for over 21 years in various capacities as Capital <br />Projects Coordinator, Principal Construction Inspector, and Construction <br />Inspector ll, and has extensive familiarity with the variety of projects, client <br />needs, and diversity of constituents served in the City of Long Beach. <br />Experience <br />University Park Community Center, Irvine, CA: Construction Manager <br />for the City of Irvine's first LEED certified building (goal of LEED Gold <br />certification). The project consisted of the addition of a community park <br />building to the existing community building at University Community Park. <br />The park had one of the first community centers in the City which was <br />in need of updating to current capacity standards of other community <br />centers. The existing uses and services were shared between the two <br />buildings and are considered one community center now that the project <br />is completed. Services included all aspects of construction management <br />including contract administration, review of submittals, field observation, <br />documentation of the contractor's work for compliance with the contract <br />documents, resolution of field problems, negotiation of change orders, <br />monitoring the progress schedule and tracking any delays, preparation <br />of weekly Statements of Working Days, and other activities related to the <br />construction of this project. <br />City of Long Beach On -Call Capital Improvement Projects, Long <br />Beach, CA: Contract Manager for project/construction management <br />and inspection of various CIP projects citywide including projects with <br />various roadway and facilities improvements. Tenant improvements <br />included structural repairs; bathroom remodeling; community room <br />upgrades; circulation counters; carpet, paint, electrical and mechanical <br />upgrades; demolition, asbestos and lead abatement, sustainability <br />upgrades; landscape and irrigation; parking lot and ADA upgrades; and <br />playground rehabilitation projects.
