Nick started in this industry as a laborer on a road <br />construction project and quickly moved up the ranks through education <br />and work experience. Nick as a strong multidisciplinary background, a <br />proven record in leading collaborative efforts and developing consensus <br />between across engineering disciplines. For the past eight years, Nick <br />has worked on some of the largest projects in California using a variety <br />of delivery methods. Nick also spent four years in the U.S. Army, and is <br />currently enlisted in the Army National Guard. <br />Experience <br />As -Needed Engineering Services for the Implementation of the <br />LACMTA Purple Line Extension, Beverly Hills, CA: Project Engineer <br />on the Psomas Team to provide full -service project and construction <br />management services to the City of Beverly Hills on an as -needed basis <br />and to serve as an agent for the residents and businesses of the City <br />during construction of Metro's Purple Line Subway Project. Services <br />include project management, design review, review and development of <br />interagency agreements, review and development of permit conditions, <br />construction management and oversight services, constructability and <br />construction schedule review, community outreach, city council and <br />commission presentations, QA/QC and document control. Segment 2 <br />Manager representing the City of Beverly Hills in a staff augmentation <br />role during the construction of the Westside PLE, Section 2, which runs <br />almost 3-miles down Wilshire to Constellation Boulevard. Responsible <br />for overseeing a team who are responsible for verifying the City's <br />interests are protected and adhered to during construction as part of the <br />Memorandum of Agreement between the City and Metro. <br />Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project, Port of Long Beach, <br />CA: Lead Construction Engineer providing oversight of materials quality <br />control program on a $1.2 billion bridge project. Designed and populated <br />a Microsoft SharePoint based document database for materials quality <br />and non-conformance related documents. Performed claims analysis, <br />establishing absence of contractual merit for several claims, developed <br />the negotiating leverage to reduce the client's liability for several more, <br />and prepared the related correspondence and documentation for the <br />project record. Attended meetings with the design -builder on behalf of <br />the POLB, performed oversight/auditing of the design/builder's materials <br />quality assurance program, and coordinated certain materials related <br />IQA functions (such as destructive and non-destructive sampling and <br />testing).
