WJE Civic Center Plaza Structural Analysis <br />Structural Analysis of Civic Center Plaza of the Flag/Fountain <br />chlorides; partial and full depth patching using specialized mortars that maximize the effectiveness <br />of these materials to improve long term durability of concrete repairs; passive and active cathodic <br />protection to counter the effects of corrosion; corrosion protection coatings of embedded reinforcing <br />to limit future interactions between the metal and a corrosive environment, and others. Brief <br />summaries of each team member's qualifications are provided below. The team members will be <br />supported by the collective resources of WJE. <br />Key Personnel <br />Ann Harrer, PE, Associate Principal, Project Manager. Ann Harrer has investigated concrete - <br />related problems on a variety of buildings and structures. Investigations have involved assessment <br />of distress and deterioration in materials including concrete, masonry, steel, and wood. The majority <br />of her experience includes investigative work and design of repairs for structures: from parking <br />garages and similar prestressed/post-tensioned concrete structures, to modern, iconic, and historic <br />concrete structures. Ann Harrer is fully authorized to negotiate and sign the contract with the City. <br />Conrad Paulson, PE, Associate Principal and Project Advisor. Conrad Paulson joined WJE in <br />1982 and has conducted a wide variety of engineering projects. These projects include structural <br />failure investigation, post -earthquake reconnaissance, seismic structural evaluation, investigation <br />and repair of distressed structures, facade investigations, field load testing of structures, and <br />structural laboratory testing. Mr. Paulson is nationally recognized in the field of historical structural <br />metals and steel bar reinforcement. <br />Michelle Sandoval, LEED AP, Senior Associate, Project Architect. Michelle Sandoval is <br />experienced with design and preparation of documents and specifications for building envelope <br />components, including cladding, roofing, waterproofing, and window systems, for both new <br />construction and repair of existing structures. She performs field testing for air and water <br />penetration resistance, both in the context of new construction and in a forensic capacity. She will <br />support the project team on the plaza, planter, and fountain waterproofing assessment. <br />Lindsay Hofgartner, PE, Associate III, Assistant Project Manager and Project Engineer. <br />Lindsay Hofgartner is experienced with the assessment, evaluation, and repair of existing <br />WJE No. 2020.1370 1 MARCH 11, 2020 Page 3 <br />
