C. Firm and Experience <br />AZTEC Engineering California, Inc. (AZTEC) is <br />a multi -discipline consulting firm with a staff of over <br />150 professional, technical and support personnel. <br />Founded in 1992, AZTEC has developed a <br />reputation as a provider of quality engineering <br />services. In 2006, AZTEC became a subsidiary of <br />the TYPSA Group which has a staff of more than <br />2,500 employees located in 50 offices world-wide. <br />One of AZTEC's core business disciplines is <br />providing proven Subsurface Utility Engineering <br />(SUE) services for public agencies, municipalities <br />and private clients. Over the past 19 years, <br />AZTEC has provided SUE services for <br />numerous clients throughout the California and <br />the greater southwest on a variety of projects <br />and look forward to providing our services to <br />the City. <br />Firm Organization <br />AZTEC has assembled an outstanding team <br />of professionals to perform the SUE services <br />for this contract (see Figure 1: AZTEC Team <br />Organization Chart). AZTEC's Project <br />Manager, George Enriquez, and key <br />personnel are committed to leading this <br />contract and developing effective and cost - <br />conscience solutions to each assigned task. <br />Capabilities of Organization <br />Through effective project management, <br />experienced staff and team dedication we <br />pride ourselves on meeting/ exceeding the <br />needs of our clients and their projects. <br />AZTEC has the personnel, resources and <br />financial capabilities to provide the City with <br />the full range of SUE services needed for <br />this contract. <br />and support staff who have proven their knowledge <br />and ability on hundreds of similar projects. Our <br />unsurpassed expertise in SUE, Professional Utility <br />Coordination and GIS mapping are the capabilities <br />that make AZTEC an ideal provider of the SUE <br />services the City requires. <br />Subconsultants <br />While AZTEC will perform the majority of the <br />contract and serve as the prime consultant, we <br />have chosen Michael Baker as a subconsultant <br />for surveying services. For more than 30 years, <br />Michael Baker has played a significant role in the <br />development of southern California's expansive <br />transportation network, including work directly for or <br />on behalf of Caltrans and other local jurisdictions. <br />Proximity of Company's Resources <br />AZTEC maintains a fleet of utility designating and <br />vacuum excavation trucks at our Irvine, CA office, <br />approximately 9 miles from the City of Santa Ana <br />offices and facilities.
