Key Personnel <br />AZTEC has assembled a team of our best and <br />qualified professionals. Below, we have highlighted <br />their experience and relevant projects. We have <br />also included their resumes in Section 5. <br />Art Mehler I Contract Manager <br />Art supervises the operations of <br />the AZTEC SUE Division, including <br />supervision, staffing, scheduling, <br />project planning, and coordination. <br />During his 35-year career, Art has completed a <br />variety of projects throughout the Southwest region <br />His recent relevant experience includes managing <br />and overseeing several SUE on -call contracts <br />including Caltrans District 7; Arizona Department <br />of Transportation (ADOT); the City of Phoenix, <br />Arizona; Valley Metro Rail Transit and Maricopa <br />County Department of Transportation (Arizona). <br />George Enriquez I Project <br />Manager <br />George has over 14 years of <br />experience in the SUE field. He is <br />AZTEC's SUE Project Manager <br />for our California operations. His expertise is in <br />designation, supervision, and quality control of <br />projects. This includes data collection from utility <br />owners, project planning and support for survey <br />and CAD departments. As Project Manager, his <br />responsibilities include coordination with clients, <br />scheduling and distributing work orders. George <br />is based out of our Irvine office and is ready to <br />respond to the City for this contract. George is well <br />known for his very involved approach, and routinely <br />serves many roles on contracts, such as Task <br />Manager for both Potholing and Utility Designating. <br />His recent relevant experience includes managing <br />two on -call potholing contracts for Caltrans and an <br />on -call with the EMWD. Additional project related <br />experience include SR-91 HOV Widening, 1-215/ <br />Van Buren Interchange, SR-91 HOV Widening, <br />Perris Valley Line, 1-215 Central Widening, 1-215 <br />Bi-County, 1-15 Express Lanes DB and the Metro <br />Gold Line projects. <br />Steve Slocum, PLS I Survey Lead <br />Steve comes from Michael Baker <br />International and has 18 years of <br />progressive surveying experience. <br />He has worked on several significant <br />projects, including recently serving as Project <br />Manager for Port of Long Beach On -Call services. <br />His project services include boundary and street <br />monumentation, topographic data collection, H IDS <br />ground based LIDAR (laser scanning surveys), <br />aerial control and validation surveys. <br />He is a former president of the Orange County <br />Chapter of California Land Surveyors Association. <br />Robert Rappleyea I CADD <br />Technician Lead <br />Robert has 20 years of experience <br />producing engineering drawings <br />and CADD designs. As a designer, <br />he has been responsible for grading and drainage <br />designs, earthwork calculations and the design of <br />utility relocation plans. Robert is AZTEC's AutoCAD <br />Manager and has delievered 15 SUE projects <br />and is a member of AZTEC's CAD Standards <br />Committee. <br />He has worked closely with Art to produce CADD <br />designs. He has served as CADD technician on <br />our Caltrans and ADOT SUE on -calls, and on <br />numerous SUE task orders by developing and <br />delivering accurate utility base files. <br />D. Understanding of Neec' <br />AZTEC has a complete understanding of the <br />requirements to perform subsurface utility <br />engineering work to the ASCE 38-02 Quality Level <br />standards. These services are required in the <br />planning, design, pre -construction, and construction <br />phases of infrastructure projects. For this contract, <br />the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency will, on <br />an as -needed basis, assign task orders for various <br />SUE services. <br />AZTEC approaches SUE task orders in a <br />systematic manor to ensure completion of the work <br />on time, with the highest quality standards and <br />within allotted budgets. The steps are: <br />Review the entire task order and get any scope <br />clarifications required to completely understand <br />the needs. <br />2. Properly delineate the work area for all pothole <br />locations as required by law. Call 811 Dig Alert <br />ticket for each pothole/work area location 72 <br />hours prior to commencement of work. <br />
