D. Concord shall verify the correct location by validating address and meter number in <br />NovusCenter. <br />E. Concord shall inspect the meter to verify the replacement is possible. When applicable, <br />Concord shall flag exception accounts which are inaccessible or incapable of completing <br />the services herein as Return to Utility ("RTU") for the reasons defined in Section 3.3 <br />hereunder. <br />F. Concord will attempt to notify occupant of a brief water outage. If occupant does not <br />respond, verify there is no active consumption through the meter. If the meter displays <br />evidence of active consumption, Concord's technician shall return at a later time to avoid <br />service disruption to the customer. If no occupants appear to be onsite, concord's technician <br />shall proceed with the installation service. <br />G. Concord shall hand clean dirt or debris from meter boxes as needed to facilitate meter <br />replacement. <br />H. Concord will inspect the state of the angle stop or curb stop. <br />i. Note state of curb stop on the work order. If the angle stop/curb stop is in the closed <br />position, a zip tie will be fastened around the top of the angle stope/curb stop as a <br />reminder for Concord not to restore water service when completed with the installation. <br />ii. If the angle stop/curb stop can be actuated, Concord shall proceed with the meter <br />replacement. <br />In. If the angle stop/curb stop cannot be actuated, Concord will immediately assess <br />whether the stop can be easily replaced. <br />a) If the stop can be easily replaced, Concord will exchange the angle stop/curb stop <br />as appropriate and proceed to replacing the meter. <br />• Angle Stop / Curb Stop pricing excludes excess excavation, crimping, freezing, <br />replacing stop on galvanized pipe, or additional coordination and scheduling with <br />other parties. <br />b) Santa Ana will provide a supply of angle stops/curb stops for Concord to use for <br />replacement. Concord will maintain inventory counts within NovusCenter and <br />notify Aqua -Metric when inventory needs to be replenished. If Santa Ana is unable <br />to provide an adequate supply of angle stops and curb stops, or if the supply -on - <br />hand has been depleted before Santa Ana has replenished, Concord may procure <br />the necessary hardware and invoice at cost plus fifteen percent (15%). <br />c) If the stop cannot be easily replaced (embedded in roots, concrete, etc. or needs <br />further coordination with Santa Ana to carry out the replacement), Concord shall <br />document the meter pit's condition, including images, within NovusCenter and the <br />work order will be flagged RTU. Concord will be reimbursed for collecting the <br />survey data at the Survey Fee rate defined within Exhibit A hereto. <br />iv. Capture a photo of the curb stop before and after completing the work within <br />NovusCenter when applicable. <br />I. Concord will open external hose bib, if available at the front of the dwelling and in working <br />order, and shut-off water source. Concord shall not be responsible for inoperable, damaged, <br />or faulty hose bibs. <br />2 5 H -42 Page 35 <br />
