To the extent that an <br />employee or contract worker is not satisfied with <br />UEI's handling of a complaint, he or she may also <br />contact the appropriate state or federal <br />enforcement agency for legal relief. <br />0. Sexual Violence <br />In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure <br />of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics <br />Act ("Clery Act") and the Violence Against <br />Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA"), <br />UEI will provide primary prevention and <br />awareness programs to prevent Sexual Assault, <br />Dating Violence, Domestic Violence and Stalking <br />(collectively referred to as "Sexual Violence") to <br />students and employees. Additional policies and <br />procedures regarding Sexual Violence are <br />contained in the school's Annual Safety and <br />Security Report ("ASR") distributed by October 1st <br />of each year. The school's most recent ASR is <br />located on the applicable school website on the <br />Student Consumer Information page. <br />Rehabilitation Act and Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA) <br />In accordance with Section 504 of the <br />Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA), UEI College abides by the <br />regulation that "no otherwise handicapped <br />individual" shall be excluded from participation in <br />programs and services offered by the College <br />"solely by reason of the handicap." A student is <br />eligible for consideration for accommodations <br />and/or auxiliary aids and services if the student <br />has a documented disability and the Campus <br />Disability Compliance Coordinator has consulted <br />with the student and determined that the <br />functional limitations of the disability require such <br />accommodation, auxiliary aids and/or services. <br />UEI College is committed to providing reasonable <br />accommodations including auxiliary aids and/or <br />services to qualified individuals with a disability, <br />unless providing such accommodations would <br />result in undue burden or fundamentally alter the <br />nature of the relevant program, benefit, or service <br />provided by the College. Students should <br />submit requests with supporting documentation <br />at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the <br />first day of classes or as soon as practical. <br />Admission Process <br />All prospective applicants must be personally <br />interviewed by a school representative, tour the <br />campus and receive a catalog describing the <br />course offerings and the school policies. Upon <br />the applicant's determination that he/she is <br />interested in pursuing a specific program of study, <br />he/she visits the Financial Planning department <br />to receive information regarding funding options. <br />UEI College offers programs in a hybrid format. <br />Hybrid students are required to attend online and <br />residential classes. <br />As a prospective student, you are encouraged to <br />review this catalog prior to signing an enrollment <br />agreement. You are also encouraged to review <br />the School Performance Fact Sheet, which must <br />be provided to you prior to signing an enrollment <br />agreement. <br />General Admissions Requirements for <br />all Programs <br />Applicants to UEI College must be at least 17 <br />years of age and must be a High School graduate <br />or GED holder. <br />Applicants 18 years of age or older, who are not <br />High School graduates or GED holders, may <br />apply as "Ability to Benefit" students. <br />Applicants to the Criminal Justice and Pharmacy <br />Technician programs must be high school <br />graduates or GED holders. <br />Proof of High School Graduation <br />For ACCET Campuses: Applicants must provide <br />Proof of Graduation (POG) in the form of a <br />transcript or diploma from the institution where <br />they received their credential or provide proof of <br />high school equivalency. <br />For ACCSC Campuses: Applicants must <br />provide Proof of Graduation (POG) in the form of <br />a transcript or diploma from the institution where <br />they received their credential or provide proof of <br />high school equivalency. This FOG must be <br />received rp for to the student being admitted to the <br />school and the enrollment agreement being <br />signed by an accepting official. <br />The proof of high school graduation (POG) or <br />equivalent provided by the applicant is printed <br />and signed by the applicant in front of a school <br />official, as proof that the FOG is true and correct <br />and belongs to the applicant. <br />
