MILPAwilI also inform participants about upcoming <br />contests, production work, grant and internship opportunities. <br />Developed with support from the Center for Cultural Innovation's Investing in Tomorrow <br />grant, the Millennial Producers Academy provides a solid and engaging platform to develop <br />the following: <br />• Intergenerational Leadership <br />• Multicultural Storytelling <br />• Creativity <br />• Confidence -Building <br />• Teamwork <br />• Inclusion <br />• Equity <br />• Civic and Community Engagement <br />• Entrepreneurship <br />• Project Development and Completion <br />• Technology -Based Job Skills <br />MILPA is designed to professionally advance the diverse, junior -level and emerging arts <br />professionals participating in the program by providing training, networking, real -world <br />opportunities and exposure to potential employers in multiple sectors. It also develops the <br />junior -level arts professionals currently working in or looking to work with arts organizations. <br />MILPA also increases their value to local arts organizations by providing training in digital <br />production, podcasting, social media, etc. <br />Deliverables of this project include successful completion of three 8-week courses imparting a <br />solid foundation of digital media production and creativity training. Each class will consist of 16- <br />20 students. Two classes will be offered for youth 13-18 years of age, and one class will be <br />offered for participants 19-24 years of age. Students will complete at least one short video <br />project as part of this class, and class projects will be screened as part of the 2021 OC Film <br />Fiesta international film festival. Each participant will also receive a free Film Fiesta festival <br />pass. Sixteen instructional videos will be produced to facilitate delivery of instruction. <br />These videos will be made available to view on YouTube and on Santa Ana's public access <br />Channel 3. MASA will work with the City of Santa Ana and SAUSD to determine the best dates <br />for the classes, which will be held in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Media Arts Santa Ana has a <br />current Santa Ana business license. <br />Details of the target population <br />Santa Ana's population is 86% Latino, and the target population for this program includes <br />SAUSD students and at -risk, out -of -school young adults, primarily comprised of immigrants, <br />underemployed persons, the housing insecure, veterans, people without high school diplomas, <br />people seeking new job skills and economically -marginalized populations. In this way, MILPA <br />will promote equity, inclusion and access. <br />Media Arts Santa Ana has extensive experience recruiting participants for its media arts <br />instruction programs.
