CLASS SCHEDULE <br />Monday - Thursday <br />9:00 am - 2:00 pm; 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm <br />Monday - Friday <br />9:00 am - 2:00 pm <br />Saturday & Sunday <br />To be announced <br />Online <br />Open <br />MEDICAL OFFICE MANAGEMENT <br />200 clock hours <br />The Medical Office Management program provides students training in all areas necessary for <br />medical office management, including terminology, records management, and ethical issues. <br />Students enrolled in this course will gain knowledge of Medical Terminology and understand the <br />language of medicine as it relates to the primary body systems, principles and procedures used in <br />Records Management including paper and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic <br />Health Record) in addition to hands-on applications and various software programs; legal and <br />ethical issues in healthcare will be covered including HIPAA Compliance and Privacy Rules, Fraud <br />and Abuse. Concepts relating to effective communications will be included. <br />Instruction includes insurance coverage types (government programs including Medicare, <br />Medicaid, HMO, PPO, Workers' Compensation and private payers), insurance vocabulary, claim <br />processing and the revenue cycle. English Proficiency.
