<br />Years of Experience Orange County Public Works, As -Needed Geotechnical
<br />15 years total Engineering and Materials Testing & Inspection Services,
<br />13 years with Kleinfelder Orange County, CA. H&S Manager. On -call contract for
<br />materials testing and inspection and geotechnical engineering
<br />services for OCPW. Kleinfelder is providing materials testing and
<br />inspection services in support of OCPW's Quality Assurance (QA)
<br />program for construction of new or rehabilitation of existing
<br />roadways, flood control channels, parks, or other infrastructure
<br />projects. Kleinfelder complies with and all testing is performed in accordance with OCPW
<br />Standards and Procedures, Greenbook Specifications, Caltrans Standards, ASTM Standards,
<br />AASHTO Standards, and APWA Standards. In addition, Kleinfelder's material testers and
<br />laboratories are certified CCRL, AASHTO resource accreditation, and ASTM D3666. A recent
<br />project is the Oso Parkway Bridge Replacement Project in Aliso Viejo. The project consists of the
<br />removal, relocation and adjustment of existing improvements, excavation and grading, removal
<br />and relocation of existing utilities, construction of new storm drainage and storm water pre-
<br />treatment and storage system, construction of curb, gutter and pedestrian walkways and ramps,
<br />bridge construction, roadway paving and new overhead signage and traffic control devices.
<br />Services include concrete batch plant inspections, PCC aggregate sampling and testing, onsite
<br />flexural beam fabrication, and laboratory testing.
<br />Caltrans, West End Viaduct, CA. H&S Officer. The project involved the advancement and
<br />sampling of several geotechnical borings along the proposed alignment of a viaduct expansion.
<br />For the implemented field activities, Mr. Reese managed preliminary hazard identification and risk
<br />assessment, and planned for safe work practices and procedures in accordance with regulatory,
<br />client, and Kleinfelder H&S standards. Also provided oversight for implementation of safe work
<br />practices, subcontractor H&S management, and management of change.
