City Clerk announced that You Tube Live is currently down globally. <br />Hilda Ortiz from Latino Health Access spoke in support of Item 24 for community wellness <br />and health care access. <br />Stephanie from El Centro Culture Center spoke out against homeless encampment <br />removal and urged city to use item relief fund to expand resources <br />Francisco Islas spoke in support of continued use of face masks. <br />Eric spoke in support of arts, immigration defense, and pollution programs and in <br />opposition of Item 22. <br />Mrs. Bautista spoke in support of Item 20 and in support of funds for public health. <br />Fatima Paque representative with Saint Joseph Catholic Church spoke in support of Item <br />20 and pedestrian safety. <br />Laura Pantoja spoke in support of Item 24 in support of vaccines and more accessibility <br />and more funds for youth programs and housing programs. <br />Daisy Cruz from Kennedy Commission spoke in support of Item 24 for economic recovery <br />and land use opportunity. <br />Victor Bustos spoke in support of Item 26 and Item 27 for immediate attention to climate <br />and parking issues. <br />Karla Juarez spoke in support of Item 24 to fund the most vulnerable resident. In support of <br />using Revive Santa Ana funds towards the Immigration Defense Fund, Tenant Protection <br />Fund, Community Land Trust Fund, Worker Owned -Cooperative Fund, LGBTQ <br />Community Protection Fund, Language Justice Fund to provide inclusive equity. <br />Victor Valladares from Orange County Congregation Community Organization spoke in <br />support of Item 20 and in support of Item 24 for American Rescue Act funds to go towards <br />the hardest hit families and business most impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic as well <br />as to provide an economic boost. In addition, encouraged council use funds to build a <br />public health clinic. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve staff recommendations on the following <br />Consent Calendar Items: 6 through 20. <br />City Council 7 5/18/2021 <br />
