Design and Facilitate Traininq for Results! <br />TWO DAY WORKSHOP WITH THIRD PRACTICE DAY <br />We offer one stop shopping for those that are tasked with the double duty of designing AND <br />facilitating training. We've combined elements of our "How to Design Effective Training <br />Programs" and "Faciltiate Training for Results!" to help with your just in time training needs. <br />Essentials of adult learning and how to make training come to life are covered along with <br />facilitation skills and three must -have instructional design tools that help you apply adult <br />learning concepts. The content and methods are appropriate for large group instruction as <br />well as on the job training and virtual instruction. <br />114 <br />When we come on site, we customize our workshops in two ways. <br />First we customize the workshop content to meet your instructional objectives. <br />Second, we customize some examples in the exercises to make them specific to the <br />services you provide. <br />There is typically no charge for this level of customization. <br />WORKSHOP CONTENT <br />Pre -workshop assignment: Identify what course is going to be designed/presented by each <br />person attending the workshop. If they exist, bring a description, outline and objectives of this <br />course along with the business need being met through this training. <br />■ Review content and objectives <br />■ Inventory your skills <br />■ Set personal objectives for this session <br />■ Compare training vs. presenting <br />Course Methods: <br />After completing a personal inventory, participants complete personal objectives and share <br />them in the large group. A chart is used to generate discussion to illustrate the differences <br />between training and presenting. <br />Unit 1: Helping Adults Learn <br />■ Teach a five-minute lesson to a partner <br />■ Evaluate ten aspects of your instructional style <br />■ Apply 20 adult learning concepts to enhance learning <br />■ Increase learner retention by using five adult learning steps <br />■ Ask key questions to process learning through 5 adult learning steps <br />r.. <br />02022 The Training Clinic Confidential Proposal Page 4 <br />
