The <br />City required that all points oJconnection 1mthe existing systems running <br />along crossing alleys be upgraded to include the newer and larger PVC <br />water pipe and the installation ofnew water values ineach cross alley. <br />Many ofthe segments between cross alleys required obtaining approvals <br />from the State Division ofDrinking Water due to restricted vertical <br />clearances between existing utilities installed in the narrow alley, The <br />contractor |scurrently finalizing final punch list nnthis successful project <br />this month, April ZOZJ. <br />City of Chino, CA <br />TA|Thas provide design services tothe City ofChino for approximately <br />7U00linear feet ufnew 8'inchPVC water line replacing asimilar length of <br />SU'yearold 6'incbA[Plines within 13residential street. Over 17O <br />customers will beaffected during construction. The City required that all <br />poi ntsofuznnec1iontobeup8raded toiuc|udethenevverand|argerPVC <br />water pipe and the installation ofnew water values in each cross street. <br />Eight ofthe thirteen segments require obtaining approvals from the State <br />Division of Drinking Water due to restricted horizontal clearances in the <br />narrow residential streets. To assist the City in meeting an early delivery <br />schedule for one oftheir current water projects Quadrant III water plans <br />were separated into two separate bid contracts. The first segment ofIDOO <br />LFwas recently awarded atalow bid price of$990'O00and construction <br />commenced inApril ZO10and completed in6months.
