Commission Secretary (1 FTE): Click Here for City Job Description <br />When assigned to the Rent Stabilization Division: <br />Under general supervision of the Division Manager, performs responsible and complex <br />clerical work, secretarial work and routine administrative activities in support of the City's <br />Rental Housing Board. Facilitates regular meetings and complete administrative tasks <br />related to the Rental Housing Board. <br />Legal Unit <br />The Legal Unit's primary goal is to enforce the Ordinance and provide legal services for the <br />Division. The unit will be an entirely separate division physically located in the City Attorney's <br />Office. The structure of this unit includes three (3) full-time equivalents (FTEs). Two of the three <br />full-time equivalents could be replaced by specialized legal services contracted by the City <br />(<$150,000), but at least one FTE must be a City employee dedicated only to the Ordinance. <br />There is also one (1) shared position with the Hearings and Mediation Unit in the Division. These <br />positions may be assigned to the City Attorney's Office instead of the Community Development <br />Agency. <br />Legal Unit <br />(Located in City <br />Attorneys Office) <br />Assistant City Attorney <br />(1 FTE) <br />Deputy City Attorney (2 FTEs) <br />r------------------- <br />Senior Paralegal (7 FTL) i <br />L------------------- <br />These positions will be responsible for the following essential functions and job responsibilities: <br />1. Assistant City Attorney (1 FTE): Click Here for City Job Description <br />When assigned to the Rent Stabilization Division: <br />Directly supports the Division Manager and Housing Programs Coordinator to manage the <br />implementation, administration, monitoring, support, and enforcement of the Rent <br />Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance. Protects tenants from unreasonable rent <br />increases and unjust evictions. Implements, administers, monitors, supports, and <br />enforces all the provisions of the Ordinance. Enforces compliance with the City's Rental <br />Registry and collection and enforcement of fees to administer the Ordinance.
