Relevant Project Experience <br />Our recent experience with similar projects within the last five years is outlined below and demonstrates <br />our team's capabilities and familiarity with the project area. <br />City of National City, On -Call for Capital Improvement Program, <br />National City, CA <br />Kimley-Horn was selected by the City of National City to provide on -call planning and design services. <br />Select projects are listed below: <br />Paradise Creek Educational Park <br />Kimley-Horn assisted the City of <br />National City in transforming the <br />Paradise Creek Educational Park <br />by restoring the natural creek <br />habitat adjacent to Paradise Creek <br />while also providing a gathering <br />space, recreational and educational <br />opportunities, and connectivity <br />within the most severely <br />disadvantaged community in <br />National City. Kimley-Horn helped <br />the City apply for and secure a <br />Proposition 84 Urban Greening <br />Grant, as well as prepared <br />construction PS&E for the project. PayV-446 Gyk o„Qt, PAHL ism <br />The project involved removing a <br />large portion of impervious pavement; establishing a native garden, plant walk, decomposed granite <br />nature trail along the creek, and a community garden; and constructing water quality bioswales and a rain <br />garden. This project was awarded a Healthy Community Award by SD Circulate in 2016 and Project of the <br />Year by APWA in 2018. <br />Kimball Park <br />Kimley-Horn provided master planning <br />and design of improvements for the <br />renovation of Kimball Park in National <br />City. The proposed upgrades included <br />removal of an existing temporary skate <br />park and design of a new permanent <br />skate park, two basketball courts, a <br />reflection garden, a native plant walk, <br />a performance stage, a new stadium <br />shade structure, and a new playground. <br />The project also included design of a <br />large public art wall and improvements <br />to the City Arts Center. Kimley- <br />Horn's responsibilities included landscape architecture, civil engineering for grading, erosion control <br />plans, hydrology/hydraulics report, water quality technical report, utility coordination, and construction <br />administration.
