On -Call Engineering Services RFP No. 23-030 <br />z -a <br />City of El Monte, Ramona Boulevard at Valley Boulevard Intersection Improvements El Monte CA <br />The City of El Monte intended to improve the arterial level of service and increase vehicular capacity at <br />the Ramona BoulevardNalley Boulevard intersection by widening and reconfiguring the existing five - <br />point intersection to four -point intersection. The proposed improvements required Right- of -Way <br />acquisitions; geometrical design modifications at Valley Mall to allow for right -in and right -out traffic <br />movement; various utility adjustments/ <br />relocations; traffic signal improvements; bus stop <br />and bus shelter relocations; and parkway and <br />sidewalk modifications. The project resulted in a <br />complete plan, specification, and cost estimate <br />package for bidding and construction purposes. <br />Project's scope of work included Right -of -Way <br />acquisition, intersection widening, traffic study <br />and evaluation, traffic safety enhancement, traffic <br />circulation, CEQA, Phase I and II site <br />assessments, active transportation, community <br />engagement and public outreach, drainage <br />analysis, Water Quality Management Plan, <br />landscape, and street amenities. <br />Key Staff: Darren Adrian, Othman Elmezain, Jason Melchor and Randall Kopff <br />Client: Leticia Ortiz, City of El Monte 1626.580.2058 1 IortizCg)_elmonteca.gov <br />Dates: 2017 — 2022 <br />City of El Monte, Ramona Boulevard Resurfacing Project, El Monte, CA <br />Kimley-Horn provided the City of El Monte with design services to improve pavement conditions for its <br />street network. Our design services included pavement replacement and overlays according to <br />geotechnical recommendations; enhancement of pedestrian and ADA accessibility; a proposed median; <br />restriping to entail Class III bike routes in both directions; repairs to existing damaged curb, gutters, <br />cross -gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and bus pads; traffic signal modifications; and implementation of <br />low -impact development goals, all while meeting state and federal requirements for funding. <br />Key Staff: Darren Adrian and Othman Elmezain <br />Client: Kevin Ko, City of El Monte 1808.589.6135 1 kkoioielmonteca.gov <br />Dates: 2018 — 2021 <br />City of Jurupa Valley, Pedley Road and Jurupa Road Intersection Analysis and Design Jurupa Valley, <br />CA <br />Kimley-Horn prepared a traffic analysis study to evaluate the operation at the intersection of Pedley Road <br />and Jurupa Road which is currently controlled by an all -way stop. The study provided recommended <br />measures for any potential deficiencies associated with the intersection. Kimley-Horn analyzed the <br />Existing and General Plan Buildout Conditions and provided recommendations for future improvements. <br />As a result of the traffic analysis and studies, Kimley-Horn provided design services to widen Jurupa <br />Road and Pedley Road and install new Traffic Signal. Project included right-of-way acquisitions, <br />geometric design modifications, various utility adjustments and relocation, traffic signal installation and <br />railroad grade crossing improvements.
