Encroachment— Potential encroachments would be identified in the proposal stage, The work to coordinate, design, provide temporary <br />easements, etc. would be included in the fee proposal. Our goal during design is to make every attempt possible to avoid impact to <br />adjacent properties but it is not always possible. Confirm that all work will fall within City controlled property and that encroachment is <br />not necessary. <br />Water Well Expertise — Our proposed project team has a history of successfully delivering water well design services. Our Bakersfield <br />National Cemetery Project constructed a water well for domestic and irrigation use. Our proposed PM, Mr. Hernandez, rehabilitated <br />several water wells that were used for construction water. The same water wells were later used to feed a cooling system for the Mojave <br />Solar Project. <br />Utility Services — Our project experience offers many projects with sewer, water, and storm drain design. We have also provided dry <br />utilities coordination. We are currently working on projects that install and/or retrofit utilities. <br />Roadway Design Specialists — Our project team has provided roadway design services for urban, rural, primary, secondary, and major <br />roadways. We are equipped to address all aspects including: <br />Conceptual Design Alternatives <br />Utility relocations/adjustments <br />Parkway Landscaping <br />Sound Wall and Retaining Walls <br />Drainage <br />Storm Water Management <br />Rehabilitation <br />Final Design PS&E packages <br />Bike Path <br />Traffic Engineering — We offer complete traffic engineering services. HZ has completed hundreds of traffic engineering projects. Our <br />traffic engineering staff are experts in all aspects of traffic engineering and operations. This includes: <br />Signing and Striping <br />Temporary Traffic Control <br />Schoolzones <br />Pedestrian Safety <br />Bicycle Safety <br />Parking, access, and circulation <br />Traffic Calming Plans <br />Traffic Control —The signing and striping would consider the proposed bike path. Both project will require temporary traffic control during <br />construction, Temporary traffic control could be deferred to construction phase or it could be included with construction documents. <br />Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis — Include a hydrology and hydraulics analysis that assess drainage improvements. <br />Water Quality Compliance <br />WQMP— In accordance with MS4 Permit Guidelines <br />SWPPP - Prepares PRDs in accordance with the requirements set forth in the NPDES General Permit for Storm Water Discharges <br />Associated with Construction and Land Disturbance Activities. The SWPPP may also be deferred to the construction phase. <br />Geotechnical Recommendations — Our consultant will provide the required analysis to determine the street section thickness, sub- <br />surface soils classification and condition, evaluate soil properties, provide geotechnical parameters, trench stability requirements, and <br />backfill recommendations. We will coordinate with the City to make sure quality and durability are not compromised. <br />Estimates — HZ will generate quantity takeoffs and an opinion of probable construction cost for proposed project improvements. Cost <br />estimates shall include construction, engineering, inspection, administration, right-of-way, and contingency. The estimate shall tie the <br />unit price to a cost index and provide a format that is easily updated or revised. Bid prices from recent city project shall be reviewed to <br />verify unit prices. <br />Specifications — HZ will utilize the City of Santa Ana standard bid specifications and edit them to fit both project requirements. This will <br />include a bid sheet showing the anticipated project quantities. <br />Construction Administration Services <br />1. Bid Support —Assist City with bid documents, attend bid meeting, and provide bid support. <br />2. Construction Support —Attend pre -construction meeting, provide ongoing support, and attend construction meetings as required. <br />3.
