CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CONCRETE ALLEY <br />REPLACEMENT AT UTILITY <br />UNDERGROUNDING DISTRICT <br />116/116B AND F STREET <br />Newport Beach, CA <br />'L <br />The City of Newport Beach retained Psomas as <br />part of our on -call services to develop the PS&E <br />for pavement reconstruction of alleyways on the <br />Balboa Peninsula, south of West Coast Highway <br />between 38th and 47th Streets. Additionally, <br />the alley located east of F Street and south of <br />East Balboa Boulevard will be replaced as part <br />of this project. <br />The project scope consists of removing existing <br />concrete and/or asphalt concrete alleys, <br />constructing new concrete alleys, reconstructing <br />deteriorated concrete alley approaches, adjusting <br />utilities to grade, and installing street signs and <br />pavement striping. <br />Psomas provided civil engineering and project <br />management services for development of the <br />street and flatwork improvements, ensuring proper <br />drainage was maintained and providing wet utility <br />mapping of the project. <br />REFERENCE: Anna Baldenegro <br />Associate Civil Engineer 1949.644.3034 <br />abaidenegro@newportbeachca.gov <br />YEAR COMPLETED: 2022 <br />CENTER STREET/STEPHENS <br />AVENUE RESURFACING <br />Riverside. CA <br />Psomas assisted the County of Riverside in <br />the development of pavement rehabilitation <br />and reconstruction Plans, Specifications and <br />Estimates on Center Street and Stephens Avenue <br />located within the County of Riverside, in the <br />community of Highgrove. Improvements consisted <br />primarily of pavement rehabilitation of the existing <br />asphalt roadway along Center Street, from 1-215 <br />to westerly Versailles Place, and along Stephens <br />Avenue from Center Street to La Cadena West <br />Avenue. <br />Along with pavement rehabilitation, other <br />ancillary improvements included replacement and <br />reconstruction of metal beam guardrail, sidewalk, <br />driveway, curb ramp, curb and gutter and other <br />sub -standard existing conditions in the corridor. <br />New curb ramps were added to replace the existing <br />sub -standard ramps, and new sidewalk was <br />added due to slumping by Mont Mantra Avenue, <br />and investigation for corner sight distance at Mont <br />Martre Avenue and Center Street intersection, <br />crass -gutters and spandrel replacement were <br />launched to meet the County's guidelines. <br />REFERENCE: Alfredo Martinez I Sr. Civil Engineer <br />951.955.0086 1 almartin@rivco.org <br />YEAR COMPLETED: 2022 <br />
