Certified nurse assistant courses completed at a <br />California Dept. of Public Health approved CNA training <br />program. <br />6, Other courses the school determines are equivalent <br />to courses in the program. <br />Students must provide official transcripts from the <br />course to be eligible for the credit, Transcripts <br />reflecting a "B" or better in a course or courses from <br />programs approved by the BVNPT, BRN, or CA Dept. of <br />Public Health, as applicable, may receive a $250 tuition <br />credit. <br />Students From Other Concorde <br />Career Institutes/Colleges <br />Students transferring from another Concorde Career <br />Institute/College must meet the entrance requirements <br />in place at this school at the time of transfer. These <br />students may be eligible to receive credit for previous <br />courses provided that the following requirements are <br />met: <br />An official copy of the student's transcript Is on file <br />with Concorde Career College; <br />Courses within a major were completed within the <br />previous 12 months, and a grade of "C" or better <br />was earned; <br />General Education (nonscience) communications, <br />mathematics, social science or humanities courses <br />were completed with a grade of "C" or better; and <br />General Education science (BIOL. CHEM) courses <br />were completed within the previous ten years with <br />a grade of "C" or better, <br />Students transferring from another Concorde Career <br />school may transfer up to 75 percent of the academic <br />credits necessary to fulfill the requirements for <br />graduation. Students requesting to transfer credit(s) <br />must submit all required documents prior to starting <br />school. <br />If the Academic Affairs department determines the <br />credits are acceptable for transfer, credit will be given <br />for those courses, and the student will be scheduled to <br />take only those courses needed to fulfill the <br />requirements for graduation. <br />For courses within a major taken more than 12 months <br />prior, the student must take a proficiency examination <br />for both academics and practicals. Academic credit will <br />be granted if the student scores 75 percent or better <br />and demonstrates competencies of practical skills. The <br />student will not be charged for the examination(s). <br />Students requesting to transfer credit(s) must submit all <br />required documents and/or pass any proficiency <br />examination prior to starting school. <br />Under no circumstances does Concorde Career <br />College grant academic credit for life experience. <br />Residency Requirements <br />Students are required to earn a minimum of 75% of their <br />credits/hours In residence at Concorde Career <br />College/Institute. Therefore, the total of transfer credits <br />and online classes cannot exceed 25% of a program's <br />credits/hours. An exception may be made for students <br />transferring to the same program of study at another <br />Concorde school. Please contact the Academic Dean at <br />the receiving school to discuss the transfer of course <br />credits and credit for prior Learning. <br />Repetitions <br />Effective: 09/13/2022 <br />Students are required to repeat any failed course. With <br />the exception of courses with the designation "CPSq° <br />students will be allowed to repeat a failed course once <br />(see the "Official Letter Grading Scale"). CPSO courses <br />may be attempted a total of three times. Both the <br />grade(s) for the failed course(s) and the repeated <br />course(s) will appear on the transcript, but only the <br />most recent grade will be used in calculating CGPA. <br />However, the original course(s) and all repeated course <br />credit hours are included in the maximum time frame <br />and rate of progress calculations. <br />Students who fail the same CPSO course three times <br />will be dismissed from the program. Students who fait <br />the same non-CPSO academic course twice will be <br />dismissed from the program. <br />In addition, students may only attempt a course three <br />times. An attempt is defined as any grade earned for a <br />course with the exception of W7 or 7DC. A student who <br />does not successfully pass a course on the third <br />attempt will be dismissed from the program. <br />Students dismissed from a program are not eligible for <br />readmission into the same program. <br />Students may incur a per credit hour fee for repeating a <br />class(es). Students must remain active in order to be <br />eligible for any retake fee. If a student withdraws from <br />school, he/she will be charged the full per credit hour <br />cost to retake a course.
