MGT 320. Principles of Management <br />3 credits <br />This course presents the principles, techniques, and concepts <br />needed for managerial analysis and decision -malting. It <br />highlights the effective management of planning, organizing, <br />influencing, and controlling related to the internal and <br />external environment and issues of ethics and social <br />responsibility. <br />MGT 340.Organizational Behavior <br />3 credits <br />Studies the impact that individuals, groups and <br />organizational structures and processes have on behavior <br />within organizations. Examines the foundations of individual <br />and small -group behavior and how this behavior affects <br />organizational processes and performance. <br />MKT 310. Consumer Behavior <br />3 credits <br />A comprehensive study of behavioral models and concepts <br />designed to help understand, evaluate, and predict consumer <br />behavior. Deepens a student's knowledge about consumer <br />psychology and applies the knowledge from the perspective <br />of a marketing manager. Stresses analytical thinking about <br />consumer psychology and prediction of how marketing <br />tactics may influence demand for products and services. <br />MKT 400. Marketing in the New Millennium <br />3 credits <br />This course provides an overview of integrated marketing <br />communications and the strategic role of marketing tools in <br />modern marketing both on and offline. <br />NUR 098. LVN Role Transition to Registered Nurse <br />2 credits - 32 lecture hours <br />This course is a transitional course for the LVN to RN student <br />completing the 30-Unit option. The course will focus on the <br />theory and application of concepts of physical assessment, <br />the nursing process, critical thinking, relationship of <br />homeostatic mechanisms to fluids and electrolytes, and <br />nursing competencies in the professional roles of clinician, <br />teacher, leader, and advocate. <br />NUR 098-L. LVN Role Transition to Registered <br />Nurse, Laboratory <br />2 credits - 96 laboratory hours <br />This course focuses on basic psychomotor clinical nursing <br />shills, principles of teamwork in healthcare, collaboration, <br />quality improvement, and informatics. Opportunities to <br />practice select psychomotor skills will be provided during <br />the supervised on -campus clinical laboratory. This course <br />will focus on the older adult, which is fifty-five and older. <br />NUR 101. Fundamentals: Care of Adult and Older <br />Adult <br />4 credits - 64 lecture hours <br />This course is designed to introduce comprehensive <br />beginning nurse concepts through the study of nursing <br />history and theories, cultural diversity, human lifespan <br />development teaching/learning, communication approach <br />and legal, ethical moral and professional practice standard. <br />Students will be introduced to the program philosophy, the <br />wellness -illness continuum, Nursing Process and Quality and <br />Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN). Critical thinking, best <br />practices, and scientific evidence will be employed to identify <br />bio psychosocial alterations for age -appropriate <br />client/patient centered care. <br />NUR 101-C. Fundamentals: Care of Adult and Older <br />Adult, Clinical <br />4 credits - 192 clinical hours <br />Principles of teamwork in healthcare, collaboration, quality <br />improvement, and informatics will be explored and <br />developed throughout the course. Opportunities for <br />practicing select psychomotor skills will be provided during <br />the supervised on -campus clinical laboratory and in the <br />clinical setting. This course will focus on the older adult, <br />which is fifty-five and older. <br />NUR 102. Intermediate Medical -Surgical Nursing <br />3 credits - 48 lecture hours <br />This course assists the nursing student with basic synthesis <br />and integrates nursing knowledge and skills in providing <br />care to patients who have health alterations. Focus will be <br />for the students to identify client/patient needs and plan <br />priority of nursing care. <br />NUR 102-C. Intermediate Medical -Surgical Nursing, <br />Clinical <br />2 credits - 96 clinical hours <br />Associated psychomotor skills will be integrated and <br />practiced. The Nursing Process, the Quality and Safety and <br />Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) goals, Critical thinking, <br />best practices, and scientific evidence will be employed to <br />identify alterations for age -appropriate client/patient <br />centered care.
