35 <br />ARTICLE XII <br />12.0 EMPLOYEE INSURANCE <br />12.1 Health Insurance. The City shall contribute an allowance towards the employee’s <br />Cafeteria Benefit plan for health insurance premiums for affected employees and their <br />dependents under The Public Employees’ Medical & Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA) <br />which governs the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Health <br />Insurance Programs pursuant to the provisions below. <br />A. The City will provide a monthly contribution to health insurance premiums at the <br />following rates: <br />•Employee Only $654.00 <br />•Employee +1 $1,307.00 <br />•Employee + Family $1,700.00 <br />B. Effective the first full pay period following City Council adoption of this MOU, <br />the City will provide a monthly contribution to health insurance premiums at the <br />following rates: <br />•Employee Only $804.00 <br />•Employee +1 $1,457.00 <br />•Employee + Family $1,850.00 <br />C. Effective January 1, 2024, the City will provide a monthly contribution to health <br />insurance premiums at the following rates: <br />•Employee Only $854.00 <br />•Employee +1 $1,507.00 <br />•Employee + Family $1,900.00 <br />D. Effective January 1, 2025, the City will provide a monthly contribution to health <br />insurance premiums at the following rates: <br />•Employee Only $904.00 <br />•Employee +1 $1,557.00 <br />•Employee + Family $1,950.00 <br />E. Any contribution necessary to maintain benefits under any health insurance <br />program provided by the City for its employees and their eligible dependents in <br />excess of the amount of the City contribution to the Cafeteria Benefit Plan <br />specified above shall be borne entirely by the employee.
