SECTION 5 <br />TESTING STARTUP AND TRAINING <br />1.0 Prior to shipment, each CNG compressor shall be operated for a minimum of two (2) <br />continuous hours and functionally tested. The test shall include, but not be limited to, <br />operation of each compressor, all control, safety shutdown and alarming systems, etc. <br />1.1 A minimum of three consecutive days, including all travel and subsistence, shall be provided <br />for testing and start-up by the supplier. Each piece of equipment shall undergo a witnessed <br />system test. At least two (2) weeks prior to the system test, the Supplier shall submit to the <br />City's Engineer draft Maintenance and Operating Manuals. During the testing of the <br />mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment, the Supplier shall make available <br />representatives of the manufacturers of all the various pieces of equipment or other <br />qualified persons who shall instruct the City's personnel in the operation and maintenance <br />thereof. Natural gas shall be used for the system test. Piping and tubing shall be purged <br />with nitrogen prior to introducing natural gas. Overall station operation and testing shall be <br />coordinated and performed by the construction contractor. The Supplier shall be <br />responsible for running and testing only the equipment furnished by Supplier. The tests <br />shall include, but not be limited to, the items listed below. <br />A. Run -test for proper operation including calibrating all instrumentation <br />B. Test the ESD system <br />C. Test compressor control panels and shutdowns. <br />D. Test dryer system. <br />E. Test dispensing systems. <br />F. Any discrepancies in the equipment found as a result of these inspections and <br />tests shall be corrected by the Supplier at no cost to the City (including the cost <br />for making the corrections and repeating the tests within two (2) weeks). <br />1.2 WARRANTY SERVICE <br />Supplier shall provide a one-year warranty on all furnished equipment covering all non- <br />consumable parts and labor. The warranty shall be for a period of one year from the date of <br />final written acceptance of the equipment by the City. Acceptance by the City may take up <br />to 60 days from successful commissioning of the CNG station equipment. <br />Warranty period shall commence upon written acceptance of the system as defined above. <br />1.3 Acceptance by the City's Representative of the fueling station and associated items <br />furnished by Supplier under this specification shall occur only after the following <br />requirements have been met: <br />City of Santa Ana - RFP 20-095 <br />CNG Fuel Station: Design, Build, Operate and Maintain <br />28 <br />
