If a specification <br />cannot be met, provide a brief explanation. <br />Brodart's librarians are completely committed to book -in -hand cataloging. Our comprehensive, <br />accurate MARC records are created to meet your library's unique cataloging and classification <br />requirements. To meet the requirements in your RFP we are suggesting our Compleat <br />cataloging service which is designed to get books on the shelves quickly and easily. This <br />cataloging service is currently in use for the Orange County Public Libraries. <br />COMPLEAT CATALOGING SERVICES <br />Brodart's premier Compleat service provides material -in -hand cataloging and processing. Our <br />professional team provides expert service to ensure your library's specifications are followed down <br />to the smallest detail. <br />This personalized service offers the assistance of an experienced team to work with your Technical <br />Services Department to profile and maintain your local cataloging, classification, processing and <br />account requirements. Your team includes a project manager, an account manager, a cataloging <br />services librarian and a collection development librarian. <br />Our Compleat service includes: <br />* Catalogers searching the library's database via Z39.50 to locate existing records <br />Full- level Brodart Resource Records <br />Book -in -hand analysis to verify and customize cataloging and classification <br />Maximize the value of grid templates to incorporate your local collection codes <br />and other acquisitions data <br />* MARC record and call number modification to meet your local practices in <br />Attachment .A, Scope of Work <br />Item records and local call number mapped to the tags and subfields required <br />by Symphony <br />® Spine label formatted to your specifications <br />® Guaranteed full -level MARC and item records for every item received <br />® MARC and linked item records delivered electronically via FTP or e-mail <br />a Update library holdings to OCLC <br />4D Physical processing customized to your specifications <br />Brodart's Compleat cataloging and processing service provides book -in -hand cataloging and item <br />level processing for English and Spanish -language material. Brodart will access your cataloging <br />database via Z39.50. Our cataloging workflow begins with Brodart searching your database to <br />determine if a matching bibliographic record is present. If a matching bibliographic record is found <br />in the database, Brodart will use Z39.50 functionality to save the record to a local file. Your local <br />092/099 tag will be used to create a call number for added copies.
