Affordable Housing <br />Opportunity & Creation <br />Ordinance (AHOCO) <br />C. Monitor the level of housing <br />production and AHOCO qualifying <br />projects every two years. If production <br />levels fall below historic trends, take <br />actions to review and revise AHOCO <br />fees and requirements to ameliorate <br />potential constraints to development. <br />Every Two Years <br />In-lieu fees generated have been used to develop new affordable homeownership <br />and rental housing opportunities as well as provide emergency shelter. Since <br />inception, the Inclusionary Housing Fund has provided 202 units with a total of <br />$16,938,250. There is also an additional $4,137,020 currently committed for the <br />development of six (6) ownership units with Habitat for Humanity and funding for <br />down payment assistance loans. <br />26. Adaptive Reuse <br />A. Evaluate, and if appropriate, amend <br />the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance as part of <br />the Zoning Code Update (see program <br />18) to remove potential constraints, <br />such as expanding the eligible areas and <br />structures. <br />12/1/2023 <br />The RFP for the Comprehensive Zoning Code Update was released and <br />proposals were due to the City on April 13, 2023. The City formally entered an <br />agreement with a consultant on October 17, 2023 to start the Zoning Code <br />Update. Through the Zoning Code Update, the City will evaluate, and if <br />appropriate, amend the Adaptive Reuse Ordianance to remove potential housing <br />constraints and potentially expand the eligible areas and structures. <br />26. Adaptive Reuse <br />B. Proactively promote opportunities for <br />adaptive reuse of structures with <br />historic merit or otherwise suitable to be <br />converted to quality residential and <br />mixed-use projects to property owners <br />and interested developers on the City’s <br />website. <br />Ongoing The Planning Division continues to promote the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance at the <br />Planning Counter and division webpage. <br />27. Variety of Household <br />Sizes Program <br />A.
