A-27 <br /> <br />ELEMENT REF # EJ IMPLEMENTATION ACTION AGENCY TIME <br />FRAME 2023 UPDATE <br />Economic <br />Prosperity <br />2.4 No Communication Technology. Partner <br />with public and private enterprises to <br />facilitate communication technology, <br />such as fiber optics, to address current <br />and future technology needs relative to <br />available resources and ensure that the <br />city maintains a competitive business <br />environment. <br />PWA Ongoing PWA works with wireline and wireless <br />telecommunication utility companies to <br />facilitate effective and least impactful <br />upgrade of facilities in order to provide <br />service to end users. <br />Economic <br />Prosperity <br />2.5 No Wireless Telecommunication. Update <br />the local Wireless Telecommunication <br />Design Guidelines to incorporate best <br />industry practices, consistency with <br />federal requirements, and community <br />considerations. <br />PWA 2021 PWA completed the City's Wireless <br />Telecommunication Design Guidelines <br />in 2021. The guidelines are periodically <br />updated to respond to and are based <br />on community input and technological <br />improvements. <br />Economic <br />Prosperity <br />3.1 No Historic and cultural resources. Conduct <br />an outreach program with commercial <br />and industrial brokers focused on the <br />City’s historical and cultural assets and <br />how these assets can be beneficial to <br />businesses and their employees; develop <br />marketing collateral focused on the <br />City’s historical and cultural assets. <br />CDA 2021 City completed ballot measure <br />approving a reduction in business <br />license fees for small businesses. As of <br />2023, the City implemented a Business <br />Tax Holiday that forgives businesses of <br />penalties, interest and charges for <br />delinquent accounts. CDA regularly <br />meets with the Business License <br />Division to share information, promote <br />the Business Tax Holiday, and provide <br />positive relief to businesses.
