Establish <br />public realm plans for all historic <br />districts, including landscaping, street, <br />sidewalk, lighting, curb cut standards, <br />and pedestrian amenities. <br />PWA 2026 City released an RFP on February 21, <br />2023 for the creation of the Focus Area <br />Public Realm Plans. A firm was selected <br />and officially awarded the contract in <br />February 2024. <br />Historical <br />Preservation <br />3.7 No Maintain certification. Maintain <br />Certified Local Government status under <br />the National Parks Service historic <br />preservation program through training <br />and submittal of annual report. <br />PBA Ongoing Maintained Certified Local Government <br />status under the National Parks Service <br />historic preservation. <br />Land Use 1.3 No Retail business potential. Conduct and <br />annually update a retail market study for <br />the city's District Centers and Urban <br />Neighborhoods to identify types of <br />businesses that can be supported; <br />conduct outreach to local businesses to <br />inform them of potential business <br />opportunities in these areas. <br />CDA 2022 Economic Development Division staff <br />regularly produces demographic data <br />for the attraction of new businesses. <br />Land Use 1.6 No ADUs. Develop accessory dwelling unit <br />standard plans to facilitate quality site <br />and architectural design while reducing <br />costs and expediting City review and <br />approvals. <br />PBA 2022 The City has released and made publicly <br />available pre-approved ADU plans for <br />studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom <br />units. There are currently 11 plan styles <br />available on the City's new ADU <br />webpages that provide submittal <br />guidelines, frequently asked questions, <br />and development standards for the pre- <br />approved plans.
