Active Shooter, Christopher Dorner Active Shooter and <br />Manhunt, Route 91 Las Vegas Concert Mass Shooting, and the Thousand Oaks <br />Borderline Bar and Grill Mass Shooting. <br />Shonna Hill, PsyD, Chief Psychologist <br />Shonna Hill earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology <br />from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Hill is certified <br />in Emergency Crisis Response and Forensic Traumatology by the <br />American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, in collaboration with <br />the National Center for Crisis Management. In addition, she is on the <br />International Registry of the American Academy of Experts. Her <br />expansion of trauma work has also continued through her certification in <br />neuroscience psychology. <br />Dr. Hill has 14 years of law enforcement experience working in several divisions, which <br />included patrol, high -risk entry teams, and task force assignments. Dr. Hill has extensive <br />experience on transitional coping from working with military veterans in the reintegration <br />process as they make the mental transition back from war. Through her contract work, Dr. <br />Hill has worked with military contracted organizations, DEA, out of state police departments <br />and approximately 150 police and fire departments in California <br />Her professional experience has focused on the treatment of post -traumatic stress disorder <br />(PTSD), depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, grief, and management alignment. <br />Throughout her career, she has responded to approximately 500 major critical incidents as <br />lead psychologist of the Critical Incident Stress Management Team. As chief psychologist, <br />Dr. Hill has contracted with various departments for consultation and development of <br />wellness culture changes with upper management. As a POST Certified Academy Instructor, <br />she has taught mental health instruction at several California based Police and Fire <br />Academies. Currently, Dr. Hill is one of two psychologist in the state of California who have <br />been vetted, approved, and validated as a culturally competent police psychologist by the <br />Fraternal Order of Police <br />Dr. Hill is also the co -creator of the first wellness retreat in Southern California for spouses <br />of First Responders. She has been lead facilitator of LE trauma retreats and peer support <br />retreats, bringing in the unique neuroscience education of complex trauma and healing. She <br />is passionate about arming executive teams, first responders and their families with the <br />emotional and mental tools that will assist with living out balanced lives both personally and <br />professionally. <br />
