Analysis included exterior and interior concrete
investigations to evaluate condition of prestressing wires and concrete
delamination; structural analysis for seismic and gravity loads;
Geotechnical investigations; and corrosivity investigation.
Recommended improvements included an interior ring wall, chemical
injection piping, recirculation pump, value vault, reservoir access, site
improvements, landscaping and tank coating.

This .20 MG, 125 feet high tank was constructed in 1940. The tank
shell consists of riveted steel plates and is supported by built-up, riveted
steel members. The tank and its foundation were originally designed
for a horizontal seismic force factor of 0.1 times the dead load of the
tank and contents.

ASL performed a seismic evaluation to determine the safe operating
water levels of the existing structure. ASL also performed three seismic
analyses for three different retrofit design alternatives in accordance
with current code standards. Cost estimates for each retrofit alternative,
as well as a replacement (new tank) cost were provided.

This .25 MG, 140 feet high tank was constructed in 1936.
