SECTION 3~41 - Buses May Stop in Front of Driveway. <br /> <br /> A bus engaged as a cammon carrier may stop to load or unload <br />passengers in front of a driveway. At no time shall the bus so stop <br />for a period longer than is necessary to load or unload passengers. <br /> <br />Part 5 - Pedestrians and Crosswalks. <br /> <br />SECTION 3250 - Crosswalks at Intersections. <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works is authorized to establish and <br />matntaln crosswalks at intersections and to designate them by appropriate <br />devices or painted marks or signs upon the surface of the roadway. <br /> <br />SECTION 3251 - Crosswalks between Intersections. <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works shall maintain such crosswalks between <br />intersections as may be established by resolution of the City Council and <br />tO designate them by appropriate devices or painted marks or signs upon <br />the surface of the roadway. <br /> <br />SECTION 3252 - Prohibiting Pedestrians in Crosswalks. <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works may place signs at or adjacent to <br />an intersection directing pedestrians not to cross in the unmarked cross- <br />walk so indicated. <br /> <br />SECTION 3253 - When Pedestrians Must Use Crosswalk. <br /> <br /> No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than in a crosswalk in <br />the Central Parking District <br /> <br />SECTION 3254 - Standing in Roadway. <br /> <br /> No person shall stand in any roadway other than in a safety zone <br />or in a crosswalk if such action interferes with the lawful movement of <br />traffic. This Section shall not apply to any public officer, construction <br />worker or employee of a public utility or its agent when necessarily upon <br />a street in line of duty. <br /> <br />Part 6 - Parking Regulations. <br /> <br />SECTION 3260 - Parking Signs and Curb Markings. <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works is authorized, subjec~ to the provisions <br />and limitations of this Chapter, to place and maintain and, when required <br />herein, shall place, the following curb markings or signs to indicate <br />parking, standing or stopping regulations and said curb markings or signs <br />shall have the meanings as herein set forth as follows~ <br /> (a) Red curb marking shall mean "No stopping, standing or parking" <br /> at any time of any day except as permitted by Vehicle Code. <br /> (b) Yellow curb marking shall mean "No stopping, standing or <br /> parking" between 7~00 A.M. and 6~00 P.M. of any day for any <br /> purpose other than the loading or unloading of passengers <br /> or materials, provided that the loading or unloading of <br /> passengers shall not Consume more than three (3) minutes <br /> nor the unloading of materials more than twenty (20) <br /> minutes, and such loading or unloading shall be actively <br /> carried on during all of said time. <br /> <br />-8- <br /> <br /> <br />
