ORDINANCE NO. NS-1302 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />persons pursuant to Section 22511.5 of the California Vehicle <br />Code or to disabled veterans, as specified in Section 9105 <br />of the California Vehicle Code. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That section 36-138 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 36-138. Parking spaces, bus zones, loading <br />zones and physi~cal.l¥ handicappedzones. <br /> <br /> (a) The director of public works is authorized to <br />install parking space markings to indicate the parking spaces <br />adjacent to curb where authorized parking is permitted. No <br />person shall stand or park any vehicle on any public street <br />in the city where the surface of said street has been marked <br />with painted lines designating parking spaces or stalls so <br />that said vehicle is across or upon any such line or in such <br />a position that said vehicle is not entirely within the area <br />designated by such lines as a parking space or stall. <br /> <br /> (b) The director of public works is authorized to <br />establish bus zones for the loading and unloading of buses <br />and common carriers of passengers, and to determine the loca- <br />tion and length thereof. <br /> <br /> (c) The director of public works is authorized to <br />establish loading zones, and no person shall park or leave <br />standing any vehicle, whether attended or unattended, in any <br />loading zone for a period of time longer than is permitted <br />for such loading zone. <br /> <br /> (d) The director of public works is authorized to <br />establish and maintain parking zones limited exclusively for <br />vehicles of physically handicapped persons displaying either <br />one of the distinguishing license plates issued to disabled <br />persons pursuant to Section 22511.5 of the California Vehicle <br />Code or to disabled veterans, as specified in Section 9105 <br />of the California Vehicle Code <br /> <br /> SECTION 3: That section 36-432 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-432. violations - Enumerated. <br /> <br /> No person, on any public parking lot which is mun- <br />icipally owned, shall commit any of the following violations: <br /> <br /> (1) Enter said parking lot over any area or drive- <br />way or the portion between any curb returns which is not marked <br />with the word "entrance" painted thereon or in some manner <br />clearly designated for use as an entrance. <br /> <br /> (2) Park, place or rank any vehicle on any portion <br />of such lot in such a manner as to interfere with or restrict <br />the freedom of traffic movement between the areas indicated <br />for parking, or to interfere with the free ingress or egress <br />to and from said lot. <br /> <br /> (3) Move any vehicle from any such parking lot into <br />any public way over any area except an area marked with the <br />word "exit" or otherwise indicated by arrows, signs or words <br />that it is a driveway, or place for the leaving of such parking <br />lot. <br /> <br /> <br />
