444 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1970 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That section 41-507 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-507. Operational standards. <br /> <br />(a) No activity permitted in this district shall be <br />conducted in a manner creating adverse impacts on <br />adjacent property, such as, but not limited to, <br />vibration, sound, electromechanical disturbance and <br />radiation, air or water pollution, dust, emission or <br />odorous, toxic or noxious matter. All lighting is to <br />be shielded and confined within property lines. <br /> <br />(b) Ail activities permitted in this district and <br />all materials, supplies, products, and equipment <br />shall be conducted, stored and maintained entirely <br />within an enclosed building. <br /> <br />(c) Loading areas shall not be visible from arterial <br />streets or from streets adjacent to front yards. <br />Loading areas facing other streets shall be screened <br />with decorative walls of a material compatible with <br />the building design and by bermed landscaping abut- <br />ting such walls. Loading areas not facing a street <br />shall be set back at least 35 feet from the property <br />line. <br /> <br />(d) Railroad tracks are not allowed on any street <br />side of a building. If railroad tracks and loading <br />docks are located other than at the rear of a building <br />area, the tracks and the loading dock shall be com- <br />pletely screened from view from any street. <br /> <br />(e) There shall be erected and maintained a solid <br />wall not less than six (6) feet in height along the <br />rear lot line where said rear or side lot lines abuts <br />property which is either used, zoned, or designated <br />on the general plan for residential purposes. <br /> <br />(f) Public utility electric distribution and trans- <br />mission substations shall be wholly enclosed within <br />a solid wall not less than six (6) feet in height. <br /> <br />(g) Any persons building, erecting, altering or <br />replacing any article, machine, equipment, or <br />other contrivance, the use of which may cause the <br />issuance of air or water contaminants, shall present <br />to the planning department, prior to the issuance of <br /> <br /> <br />
