An inviation from the President and Directors of the panama ~xposition at San Francisco to a reception in honor of the Supervisors and ~xposition oo~iesioners May 10th,1915, was read and on motion placed on file. · communication from Guardian Oasu&Aity and Guarantee 0o., asking the date of completion of work done on West Fifth 8t.,.;by the 0randall 0onatruotion 0o., was read. Upon motion duly seconded and carried, the Olerk wu instructed to give the information desired. A petition from T.A. Morris, et all protesting against the con- atruotion of and carrying on of a garage by P.g. Taylor at West Pine St., was read. Upon motion of MoPhee, seconded by Maryatt, tSe building inspector for the construction of · was instructed not to issue a permit garage at this place. The bond of James OBrien, 8upt. of streets, was read and on motion duly seconded and carried, was referred to the President of the Board for approval. # Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~o~hee, and car:,ied, the ~pplicatione of 8.Thompson, et al, for refund on auto licensees was denied. Upon motion of Trustee Maryatt, seconded by Trustee Tubbs, and carried, that aha Park Oe~mnission be increased to five members. That the two extra members be ladies and that the names of Mrs, A.~etty and Mrs. B.H.Rankin be added thereto. Oity Attorney 8coat read a WTitten opinion on subdivision 4, Section we' of Ordinance Ho.590, pertaining to that portion in which a new dealer starting in business bo required to furnish bond in the sum of $500.00,to StAy in business $ months. Hie opinion was to the effect that said part of tho Ordinance wu unconstitutional. Upon motion of MoPhee, d~ly seconded by Marya~t, the Olerk was instructed to disregard Section ~B', subdivision 4 of said Ordinance, and write licenses without requiring bonds. Upon motion of Trustee Greenleaf, seconded by Trustee Max~att, the Clerk was instructed to order two cars of road oil '~o finish ~ streets under eeustructic~ for oil and gravel.
