Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, <br />Present, Trustees Mclrnee, MarTatt, ?isel, <br />'Boar~ called to order by President Visel. <br /> <br />Oity Hall, gent& Ana, Oal. <br /> <br /> Ma7 17, 191§, at ?:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Greenleaf,Tubbs, and the Olerk. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />M inute s <br /> <br />%n Re <br /> <br />City Band <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />I .B.S.A.Special Train <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Jitney Busses on <br /> <br />South side of 4th <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment Park <br /> <br />Custodian <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Oil and Gravel <br /> <br />Halladay St. <br /> <br />Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris appeared before the Board and stated that the Band <br /> would name a price, or playing twelve concerts during the <br /> On motion of Trustee Tuhbs, seconded and carried, the matter <br /> was referred to a comittee, President ,&mol naming the follow- <br /> ing Oommittee: Trustees Tuhbe and Greenleaf. <br /> <br /> Mr. Idward Stark rel~reaentir~g the I.B.B.A. 'special train of <br /> which Pastor Russell is the leader,' appeared before the Board <br /> asking the City to help entertain them; the President appointed <br /> Trustees Greenleaf and TuBbe a committee to assist in entertain- <br /> ing the visitors. ·leo the request to place a banner across <br /> Fourth Bt., was granted. <br /> <br /> A petition from the business houses on South side of 4th Street <br /> between Main and BToamore, asking the City to do something to <br /> reliewe the Jitnel~ from monopolising the curb and sidewalks was <br /> read and on motion of Greenleaf, duly sanonded b7 Tuhbs and carried <br /> a committee was appointed to look into the trouble. President Vieel <br /> appointed Trustees McPhee and Tubhs aa a co,nitres to investigate <br /> <br />The recoanendation of the Park Oommission that l.J. Van Der Bruggen <br />he appointed as Park Oustodian for the Oit7 Parks at a salar7 of <br />S?~.00 per month for the first three months, then 'raised to $~0.00 <br />per month, was read, a motion by Trustee Maryatt, seconded By Green- <br />leaf that the recommendation be referred hack to the Park Commiss- <br />ion for re-consideration was lost. On motion of McFhee, and second. <br />ed hy Tubbs, that the Board accept the recommendation of the majority <br />of the Park Commission was carried,by the following vote: <br /> <br />ATes, Trustees Mclrnee, Tubbs and'Visel, <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees Oreenleaf and Maryatt. <br /> <br />· petition asking that <br />be oiled and graveled., <br /> <br />Halladay Street between First and Chestnut Ave <br />the City to do the work and property owners <br />to pay for oil and gravel, was read,~on the suggestion of the City <br />Attorney and on motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, <br />it was decided to start a Resolution for the oiling and gravelling <br /> <br /> <br />
