On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Grecnleaf and carried, the same was taken trader advise~nt. # The report of the street and water committee for additional fire hydrants was read and on motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, the report was adopted and the Supt. of ~ater ia in- structed to place hydrants at the corner of End and Hathaway, corner of Orange and Bishop, to change the hydrant at the corner of Birch and Sycamore from the sidewalk cut next to the curbing and to provide for a reel and hose to be connected to a 2 inch line from · alnut Street at the Oity barns. # On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, a resolution adopting the following was read: That the sala~ of N.O Young,Fire Chief, ~e fixed at $8~.00, Mont Jackson, Driver, $7~.00, Pete Newman, Driver, $70.00 and John Lacy ~river, $70.00, the Fire 0bier to have full charge of the apparatus and full con- trol of the men, to be held responsible by the City for the proper care of all city property t~der hie control to he authorized to enforce the Ordinance providing for cleaning up of premises including alleys and back yards adjoining business establishments. The volunteer force to be cut to 20 men, selection of such to be left to the Fire 0bier.
