Meyers of the Meyers Apartments <br />was granted 25 feet in front of his place of business <br />for parking restrictions. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhee, dul7 seconded and carried, <br /> <br />the President and Oity AttorneT~appointed a committee <br /> <br /> to confer with the County Attorney and ~ngineers of the <br /> State Highway for the purpose of having the State High- <br /> way grade on gast let St., lowered to conform with that <br /> of the Oity. <br /> <br /> Mr. Grigsby representing the property owners on ~ast <br /> First St., appeared before the Board with propositions <br /> to pave East let. $~., beyond the railroad tracks to <br /> the 0ity limits. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Grecnleaf <br /> and carried, the same was taken trader advise~nt. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> The report of the street and water committee for <br /> additional fire hydrants was read and on motion of <br /> Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, <br /> the report was adopted and the Supt. of ~ater ia in- <br /> structed to place hydrants at the corner of End and <br /> Hathaway, corner of Orange and Bishop, to change the <br /> hydrant at the corner of Birch and Sycamore from the <br /> sidewalk cut next to the curbing and to provide for a <br /> reel and hose to be connected to a 2 inch line from <br /> · alnut Street at the Oity barns. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, <br /> a resolution adopting the following was read: <br /> <br />That the sala~ of N.O Young,Fire Chief, ~e fixed <br />at $8~.00, Mont Jackson, Driver, $7~.00, Pete Newman, <br />Driver, $70.00 and John Lacy ~river, $70.00, the Fire <br />0bier to have full charge of the apparatus and full con- <br />trol of the men, to be held responsible by the City for <br />the proper care of all city property t~der hie control <br />to he authorized to enforce the Ordinance providing for <br />cleaning up of premises including alleys and back yards <br />adjoining business establishments.
