On motion of Trustee MoPhee duly seconded and carried, the request of Attorney Joe C.Burke that the Board instruct the Supt. of Streets to release on his books the bond issued against the property of Olive M.Watkins for street paving on West Fifth St., same having been paved but not released~laid over one week, City Attorney and Attorney Burke to try and reach an agreement. The motion of Trustee Maryatt that the City Marshall be instructed to at once &bate the nuisance of shouting and hollering on Spurgeon St., between 2nd and 3rd Sts.,' duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried. Upon motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded and carried, Water Supt. Reid was instructed to install in the ornamental the Lighting district m new type of fire hydrants that are cover- ed under ground. The motion of Trustee Greenleaf that the President appoint a committee to prepare an Ordinance regulating the storage o~ gasoline, was duly seconded by McPhee and carried. The President appointed the following committee,Trustee Green leaf, City Attorney Scott, Fire Chief Jackson, ~nd Mac Robbin~ Upon motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded~by McPhee and carried, H.B.Cook was appointed a motorcycle policeman at sala~y of $100.00 per month, to serve at the pleasume of the Board, and to furnish his own machine and the upkeep of same, to start work April let. On motion of Trustee Tub~s, that the City purchase the amount of crushed rock needed at this time, was duly seconded by Haryatt and carried. On motion of Trustee McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the City Engineer te instructed to straighten the curb on West Second St., between Broadway and Birch by making the parking 2 feet wider than at present on the South side of the Street The committee consisting of Trustees McPhee and Tubbe appoints, to investigate the cost for the necessary street equipment was granted further time.
