In Re <br />Permit Dry Federation <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petltiom.~. to use fire hose <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Repairs North Main St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Leave of Absence, City Clerk <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request for Sewer North Flower <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Extra police,Elks Carnival <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Removal of Trees 3rd ~- Baker <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Street Signs <br /> <br />to act. <br /> <br />Greenleaf <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded and carried <br />permission was granted to the Dry Federation the use <br />of the Council Chamber every Tuesday from the Present <br />until the November election. <br /> <br />A committee from the Santa Aha High School Athleotio <br />Association was before the Board a~kin~ permission tO <br />use 50 ft. of fire hose in preparing Athletic grounds <br />was on motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br />Tubbe and carried, referred to a committee with power <br /> <br /> President Visel appointing Trustees Tubbs end <br /> aa such committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly secolded by Tubbs <br />and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Tubbs, <br />Greenleaf and Visel, Not voting Trustee Maryatt, <br /> <br />Absent Trustee MoPhee, <br /> <br />Street Supt. OBrien was instructed to scarify North Main <br />from Santa Clara Ave., to the bridge and repair same at <br /> <br />once. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Upon motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded and <br />carried, City Clerk Edward Layfayette Vegely, ii granted <br />leave of absence ~aw beginning Monday Sept. ~4th to <br />29th, inclusive. <br /> <br />A request for a sewer from property owners on North <br />Flower St., between Hlokey and Washington Ave., was on <br />motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Maryatt <br />and carried, same was referred to a committee, President <br />Visel appointing Trustees Greenleaf and Maryatt and <br />Supt. Reid as such committee. <br /> <br />A motion by Trustee Tubbs that the Elks Carnival Committe <br />secure six men and have City Marshal Jernigan swear <br />them in as deputies to serve without pay during the Elks <br />Carnival, was duly seconded and carried. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by ~Abba~ t <br />and carried, Bt. Supt. Obrien was instructed to see that <br />several trees at ]rd and Baker in the curb line are re- <br />moved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Maryatt <br />and carried, the need and procuring of street signs was <br />left to a committee, President Visel appointing as such <br />committee, Trustees Maryatt, Greenleaf, Street Supt. and <br />City Engineer <br /> <br /> <br />
