A communication from the Woman's Civ~$ Club thanking the Board for use of the Council Chamber, was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbs,duly seconded by ~aryatt and carried, ordered received and placed on file. The petition for sidewalk and curb on West 19th St. from Broadway West to the terminus of street was on motion of Trustee NcPhee,duly seconded by Tubbe and carried, referred to a committee, Trustees Tubb~ and Greenleaf being appointed as such committee. A petition signed by property owners asking that that portion of Custer St. from Stafford North to the end of street be ordered improved with cement cumb and sidewalk, was read and on motion of Trus- tee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and ca, tied, referred to a committee, Trustees Greenleaf and Tubbs being appointed as A communication frcm such committee. Phelps,State Insurance ensation Ins. City employee Commissioner, in reference to the financial stand- ing of the Golden State Indemnity Co.of San Fran- cisco, was read and on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Greenleaf and carried, ordered received and placed on file for future reference. On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbs and carried, the voucher from the State Comp- fund for $21~.95 earned premiums on insurance was accepted. On motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Green- leaf and carried, sidewalk in front of the Register Bldg., 3rd and Sycamore ets. was ordered repaired at the expense of the'City. The monthly reports of the Bldg. Inepector,Street Su~t., City Recorder and Marshal,were on motion of Trustee Greenleaf,duly seconded by Tubbs and carried referred to Finance Committee.
