Stephens, in reference to &nforclng the l~we against prostitution wes read, and on motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Oreenle~f, and caxried, ordered received and placed on file. An invitation from the Chamber of Commerce of Colton, inviting tM Board to participate in the celebration in their City July the ~ was read, and on motion of Trustee C~reenleaf, duly seconded by Tubbe, and carried, received and ordered filed. The request of Gus Gotzios, for a permit to stand his pop corn peanut wagon in front of the Temple Theater during the evening~ wes granted on motion of Trustee Maryatt, Greenleaf, and o~rried. duly seconded by On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, the shoulder paving on West Fifth Street wes anoepte~ and Clerk instructed to draw t warrant for $?50.00 the contract price of Wells & Breeeler. On motion of Trustee Ma~yatt duly seconded by Tubbs and carried the Board approved the aution of the volunteer fire department in the appointment of W. Mont. Jackson aa fire chief. On motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly seconded by ~reenleaf and oarri~ the resignation of Mot%royole Officer R. B. Cook on account of sickness was anoepted. In Re Resolution and Recommendation H.B.Cook In Re Applications Motorcycle Officer On motion of Trustee Tubbe, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, City Attorney Scott was instructed to draw up & resolution of appreciation and a letter of recommendation for the faithful performance of duty of Motorcycle Officer Cook. # The applications of C. C. Curry and R.~.Glbbs, for the appointme~ of Motorcycle Officer, were read, and on motion of Trustee Tubbs duly eeoonded by Greenleaf, and carried, ordered received and placed on file for future referedce.
