<br />On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by Trustee
<br />MoPhee and carried, the application of H.V.Iredell, for
<br />the license to conduct a lunch counter,fruits and soft
<br />d~inks, at 505 N.Main St. was referred to a committee,
<br />
<br /> and MoPhee being appointed as such
<br />

<br />Trustee W.A.Greenleaf, duly seconded by
<br />MoPhee, the Clerk was instructed to proceed
<br />to open bide received for the bridge bonds. One bid
<br />was received, that of the Farmers & Merchants National
<br />Bank of Senta Ana, accompanied by a certified check for
<br />$1000, offering to take entire issue of bonds voted for
<br />building North Main and North Flower St. bridges or any
<br />part thereof at par and accrued lntereet~ ion motion of
<br />Trustee Geo.MoPhee, duly seconded by Trustee O.H.Maryatt,
<br />a~d passed by the following vote to-wit:

<br /> Ayes,Tzueteee Geo.¥cPhee, W.A.~reenleaf, O.H.Maryatt and
<br /> A.J.Vlsel, Noes, Zone, Absent, Trustee J.W.Tubbs,
<br /> the bid of the Farmers & Merchants National Bank for the
<br /> entire bridge bonds at par and accrued interest,was accept
<br />
<br /> A protest signed by the President~d Secretary of the
<br /> T.U. against issuing a license to the Clune Theater for
<br /> holding vaudeville shows on Sunday, was read and on motion
<br /> of Trustee MoPhee,duly seconded by Greenleaf, that same be
<br /> referred to a committee, carried. Trustees Greenleaf,MoPh,
<br /> and Maryatt being appointed as such committee.

<br /> Upon motion of Trustee MoPhee,duly seconded by Greenleaf
<br /> and carried,the monthly reports of the City Reoorde~ Bldg.
<br /> Inspector,Fire Chief and City Marshal, were referred to
<br /> the Finance Committee.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by MoPhee
<br /> and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants
<br /> on the Treasurer to cover the demands a~ audited
<br /> to 17~,inoluslve.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee Greenlesf,duly seconded by MoPhee
<br /> carried, the Hay committee was granted further time for
<br /> securing the necessary amount of hay needed for the Street
<br /> Department at this time.
