293 <br /> <br />Board met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the President. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees McPhee, <br />~bsent, Trustee, Tubbe, <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Santa An., City Hall, <br /> <br /> May 13th,1918, 7;30 p.m. <br /> <br />Greenleaf,Maryatt, Vieel and the Clerk. <br /> <br />The application of P.A.Roblnson, for a permit to ~laoe <br /> <br />· nd construct wagon scales on the North side of Stafford <br />St. about 80 ft. East of the S.P. side track, was on <br />motion of Trustee MoPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt a~d <br />carried, was referred to a committee, Trustees <br />and Greenleaf being appointed as such committee. <br /> <br />The petition of owners of real property fronting on <br />Myrtle St. asking the Board to order sane opened <br />from Flower St. to Shelton, was on motion of Trustee <br />McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried by the <br />following vote: Ayes, TrusteesMoPhee, Maryatt and Vi,el <br />Noes, Trustees None, Absent Trustee, Tubbs and Greenleaf <br />The petition as asked for wam granted with the proviso <br />that sidewalks and curb would not be ordered down for <br />at lea~t one year from date. <br /> <br />The request of the Robertson Elec.Co.to hang an electric <br />sign in front of 414 W, 5th St. was granted on motion of <br />Trustee McPhee, duly seconded by Maryatt and carried, <br />subject to the Sign Ordinance and approval of the City <br />Electrician. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McPhes,duly seconded by Greenleaf, <br />and carried,City Attorney Scott is instructed tostart <br />proceedings to acquire the necessary portion of frontage <br />on the South side of Walnut St.of the property owned by <br />John Thomson at Walnut and Flower Sts. in reference to <br />widening Walnut St. from Flower to Parton. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Maryatt,duly seconded by McPhee <br />and carried, May 15th,to 20th inclusive,was set aa the <br />time for cleaning vacant lots and parking~, and the ClerJ <br />was instructed to mlvertlse the fact that City teams <br />would haul away all trash and rubbish so placed on the <br />street up to May 2Otb, inclusive. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Maryatt,duly seconded and carried, <br /> the Board as a committee of the whole will attend <br /> meeting May 21st,191~, with the Chanber of Commerce in <br /> reference to improving conditions at the Cemetery. <br /> <br />Application to install wagon scales <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Opening of Myrtle St. <br /> <br />In Rs <br /> <br />Permission to hang electric sign <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Widening of Walnut St. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Clean-up Week <br /> <br />In Re <br />Committee to <br />committee <br /> <br />meet with Cemetery <br /> <br /> <br />
