On motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br />duly seconded by Greenleaf, the matter was referred <br />to the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />A petition signed by J. C. Nave, pastor Mexican <br /> <br />M.E.Church and others, asking for permission to use <br /> <br />explosives ( twenty-one shots) <br />in their Mexican Independence <br />at Birch Park at 6 A.M., Sept. <br /> <br />in saluting the flag <br />Celebration, to be held <br />16, 1919, also asking <br /> <br />for the assistance of two mou~ted policemen. On <br />motion of Trustee Greenleaf, duly seconded by <br />Chapman and carried, the matter was referred to the <br />Police Committee with power to act, <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />A communication from the State Board of Health in <br />reference to the eleventh annual conference of <br />state, county and municipal health officers to be <br />held at Riverside, Oct. 20th to 2~th inclusive, and <br />urging that this city send representatives. On <br />motion of Trustee Tubbs, duly 8 econded by Chapman <br />and carried, Dr. J. I. Clark, Health Officer, and <br />W. W. Chandler, Sanitary Inspector, were authorized <br />to attend these meetings at the expense of the city. <br /> <br />The Monthly reports of the Recorder, Marshall,Build- <br />ing Inspector and Sanitary Inspector were referred <br />to the Finance Committee on motion of Trustee Tubbs, <br />duly seconded by Green]ear and carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
